Where The Wild Things Are

Where The Wild Things Are is based on the 2009 film of the same name, which in turn is based on Maurice Sendak's 1963 children's book. The game is a platformer where players control the young boy Max as he battles enemies with a scepter and explores the island. The game also incorporates racing and boating stages.

Max is a young boy who arrives on an island and makes friends with monsters known as the Wild Things. After a series of events, Max must save the Wild Things from the shadow creatures who are emerging from a black gunk, as well as work out the issue of the moon falling from the sky.

Where The Wild Things Are received mixed reviews, with an average score of 61%, praised for its musical score and voice acting, but criticized for its short length and lack of depth.

As you might expect for a game geared towards children, the Platinum is not very difficult, nor particularly time-consuming. You will need to clear the game on Hard mode, which isn't very tough, and find all the necessary collectibles. A chapter select is available for mopping up.

Overall, the Platinum can be had in 8 or 9 hours.

You'll need to clear the game on Hard mode in order to unlock the King trophy, which is available from the start. So, in order to save some time, we recommend simply playing through on Hard.

Aside from the story-related trophies you'll be unlocking automatically, the majority of the trophies related to finding the collectibles. If you're hoping to get the Platinum in one playthrough, we recommend following one of the collectible guides under our Links tab.

Other trophies include defeating a set number of creatures during the game, which you'll unlock naturally during your progress. And finally, there are a few miscellaneous trophies. Check these out in the Where The Wild Things Are trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details.

Once you've completed your playthrough, you can use the Chapter Select to mop-up anything you may still be missing.
