Trackmania Turbo

Trackmania Turbo is an arcade racing game and part of the Trackmania series which began on the PC in 2003. Like previous games in the series, players race at high speeds over tracks while performing stunts. The game includes over 200 different tracks which are set in four different environments: Rollercoaster Lagoon, International Stadium, Canyon Grand Drift, and Valley Down & Dirty. The game includes online multiplayer, split-screen multiplayer with up to four players, and a track editor where players can create and share their own tracks with other players.

Trackmania Turbo received positive reviews with an average score of 81%, praised for its graphics, amount of content, and arcade-style high speed fun, though criticized by some for lacking in new and fresh content from previous installments.

The majority of the trophies are quite easy to get, including the two online trophies. However, achieving a gold medal on all 200 tracks for the End Of The Road? trophy will require incredible skills and a whole lot of practice - some tracks may require 8-10 hours of replay just to get a single gold medal. Also, getting 50 Trackmaster medals for the Ghost Buster trophy is no easy task, as well.

With good skills, it's possible to obtain the Platinum in 60-70 hours. However, most average players will probably require over a hundred.

If you wish to get the two online trophies out of the way, they can be done in a matter of minutes. For the Feels Like Home trophy, you simply need to create a Room under Online Racing, select either campaign or user made tracks, then save it. For the Here Comes A New Challenge! trophy, create a quick custom track and add it to the Worldwide Challenges, then save it.

During the above step, you can also unlock the other three trackbuilder trophies, which include I'm Feeling Lucky for creating a track with the random generator, Dirty Hands for building and saving a track in advanced mode, and the All Flavours trophy for creating one track on each environment.

With regard to the offline trophies, you want to start by simply playing through all 200 tracks in the campaign. To save time later, try to get as many gold medals as possible. During this step, you should unlock a good chunk of the trophies naturally.

After that, you may wish to work on any miscellaneous trophies you still need which are not related to getting gold or trackmaster medals. Be sure to check out the Trackmania Turbo trophy guide links under our Links tab to see which of these you still need and their requirements.

Okay, now for the hard part. We recommend going for the Ghost Buster trophy next, which requires achieving 50 trackmaster medals, which are medals higher than gold for completing secret track times.

Finally, it's time to go for the End Of The Road? trophy, which requires getting gold medals on all 200 tracks. You will at least be also unlocking the clear' trophies along the way, but expect some of these to be quite difficult. Check out some of the videos under our Links tab for inspiration, but remember to stay patient and keep practicing until you do.

Good luck!

PlayStation Plus Free Games April 2018

Sony has just unveiled their next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games April 2018, which seems to be a mix of gems and dusty stones.

On the PlayStation 4, we have Mad Max, the action-adventure open-world based on the popular anti-hero from the Australian film series, as Max seeks revenge on dangerous raiders while also engaging in vehicular combat to survive the post-apocalyptic world. And TrackMania Turbo, a racing game that has players zooming across 200 different tracks across four different locations while performing stunts for those extra points.

For the PlayStation 3, there’s In Space We Brawl, a twin-stick shooter featuring space battles with up to four players. And Toy Home, another racing game, this one involving a toy car in a search for coins and hidden medals while performing stunts and reaching the next checkpoint before the timer runs out.

And on the PlayStation Vita, there’s 99Vidas, a brawler with references to 80’s and 90’s culture in a classic 18-bit style. And Q-Bert Rebooted, the classic arcade game which features new enemies, power-ups, and playable characters as you hop your way clearing blocks while avoiding enemies. Both 99Vidas and Q-Bert Rebooted are cross-plat with the PS3 and PS4.

Among the freebies for April, Mad Max, TrackMania Turbo, and 99Vidas have Platinum trophies to unlock. Mad Max is fairly average in terms of difficulty, though will require around 70 hours of gameplay. Also, it should be noted that since Toy Home was released in 2007 before trophy support, the game has no trophies to unlock.
