Skylanders Imaginators

Skylanders Imaginators is a 3D platformer and the sixth major installment in the Skylanders series, following SuperChargers. Like other titles in the series, the game uses a toys-to-life system in which players place Skylanders figures on the Portal of Power device which reads the figure's tags through Near-field communication, which then imports them into the game as playable characters. With Skylanders Imaginators, for the first time, players are able to create their own characters through the use of crystals.

The evil Kaos has discovered the Mind Magic power that has been hidden away by the Ancients, and is using it to create a new army of minions named Doomlanders in order to conquer the world. To defeat Kaos, the Portal Masters have created the Imaginators, who must be trained by the Senseis in order to bring peace back to Skylands.

Skylanders Imaginators received positive reviews with an average score of 78%, praised for its character creation tools and overall fun, though criticized by some for its micro-transactions and not offering enough new content to the series.

This is a high 1-star rating, only because of the time required. The game can be played on Easy mode, and there are no missable trophies. Also, the Platinum doesn't require any extra figures, DLC, or purchases - only the two Senseis and the fire creation crystal that comes includes with the retail game. Skylanders Imaginators is arguably the easiest in the series.

Expect roughly 16-20 hours for the Platinum.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

There are no difficulty-mode related trophies, so if you're in a rush for that Platinum or simply wish to make things easier for yourself, feel free to select Easy mode.

You can basically just play through the main story from start to end, as there are no missable trophies to worry about. However, if you wish to nab some of the level-specific and miscellaneous trophies during your initial playthrough, be sure to check out the Skylanders Imaginators trophy guide links under our Links page to get familiar with their requirements. But playing through the story will unlock the story-related trophies, as well as some of the other miscellaneous ones naturally. If you're playing on Easy, the story should only take about 7-8 hours to complete.

Once you've finished the story, it's simply a matter of going back and mopping-up whatever you are missing. Again, check out the Skylanders Imaginators trophy guide links, as well as some of the videos, if you're having any trouble. Mopping-up should take about the same amount of time as going through the campaign, depending on how many of the level-specific and miscellaneous trophies you've already unlocked.

Skylanders: Spyro’s Adventure

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure is a platforming adventure with RPG elements, and the first in the Skylanders series. Players can select from 32 different characters, each classified under 8 elements: Magic, Water, Fire, Earth, Air, Tech, Life, and Undead. The game includes exploring different mythical lands, solving puzzles, collecting treasures, while battling a range of different creatures.

The Skylanders were once in charge of protecting the Skylands world, but were banished by a Portal Master gone evil, bent on destroying the Core of Light which held back the Darkness. The Skylanders must be found and brought back to life in order to defeat the evil Portal Master and restore the Skylands.

Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure was both a commercial and critical success, with an average score of 80%, praised for its innovative elements of gameplay and overall fun for all ages.

While the game is certainly no Hannah Montana, it's simply not difficult nor time-consuming enough to warrant anything higher than a 1-star rating. The majority of the trophies are story related, and there's a chapter select to mop-up anything you missed. While there's a few tricky trophies, any average gamer can unlock these after a few concentrated tries.

Expect roughly 15 hours of playing for this Platinum.

You can start by going through Adventure mode, the main story of the game. Along the way, you'll be unlocking a number of story-related trophies. Also, there are a number of collectibles to be found, in the form of Soul Gems, Legendary Treasures, Story Scrolls, and Hats. If you want to get each of their respective trophies on your initial playthrough, then you may wish to follow one of the collectible guides under our Links tab. Also, there are some chapter-specific trophies as well, for chapters 7, 8, 11, 12, 17, 18, 21, and 22. Keep in mind, however, that there is a Chapter Select so if you miss anything, don't fret.

With your playthrough out of the way, you can use the Chapter Select to mop-up any trophies you're still missing. This will probably include some grinding for XP and money in order to unlock the Climb To The Top and Gotta Buy Them All trophies.

After all that, you can head into Battle Mode. Simply play a match, and you'll unlock The First Battle trophy.

Lastly are the challenges. Complete one challenge for the New Challenger trophy, and two more for the Can't Stop Me trophy. After that, if you've been following this roadmap, you should have yourself a new Platinum.
