Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time

Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time is an action RPG and the third game in the Star Ocean series. It was first released on the PlayStation 2 in 2003, then revamped in HD with trophy support for the PlayStation 4 in 2017. Rather than using menu-driven combat like its predecessors, the game uses real-time interactive combat in which players can switch to controlling different characters in the party, while others are controlled by an AI. Characters have a Bonus Battle Gauge which, when filled, players can access Bonus Battle which allows for certain benefits to the character, such as experience points or receiving items.

Following the events of Star Ocean: The Second Story, Fayt Leingod and his childhood friend Sophia Esteed, are on vacation with Fayt’s family on the planet Hydra IV, when the planet is suddenly attacked by an advanced alien race known as the Vendeeni. Fayte and Sophia are separated after the attack, and must travel to different worlds, fighting their way to be reunited once again.

The original Star Ocean: Till The End Of Time on the PS2 received positive reviews with an average score of 81%, praised for its imaginative settings, battle system, and character customization, though criticized by some for its voice acting and technical issues.

This is a high 3-star difficulty. The game requires three playthroughs, one of which is on its most difficult mode, which can be quite challenging at times, especially at the beginning before you can acquire better weapons. Also, with three playthroughs required and plenty of post-game requirements, unlocking the Platinum will be a very time-consuming feat.

Expect over 200 hours of gameplay for the Platinum.

Start with your first playthrough on Galaxy mode and enjoy the story. The only missable trophy you need to worry about is the Follow The Clues trophy, which involves using the Ancient Book to find all seven treasures. First, you need to find and recruit Roger into your party before leave Duggus Forest. From here, you will need to complete this side quest before the boss fight with Crosell in the Urssa Lava Caves, otherwise you will be locked out of completing the sidequest, and therefore the trophy.

After you completed the story, it’s time to head into the Fighting Arena and work on those related trophies. This includes winning all the single battles for the Solo Act trophy, winning all team battles for the Terrific Teamwork trophy, and reaching Rank 1 which enables you to fight and defeat Dirna and Solon for the New Champions trophy.

Next, it’s time to complete the post game dungeons. This includes going through the Maze of Tribulations and defeating Gabriel Celesta for the Breaking The Seal trophy, the Urssa Cave Temple and defeating Fayt for the Mirror Image trophy, then Sphere 211 and defeat the final superbosses Lenneth, Freya, and the Ethereal Queen for the Final Floor trophy. At this point, you should also have collected all 26 Trading Cards for the Collect ‘Em All trophy.

Hopefully, you should now have enough BT’s to unlock Universe difficulty mode. Here, the enemies will have 1.5 times more health. After defeating the final boss, you will unlock the Master Of The Universe trophy.

If by now you’ve unlocked 65% of the BT’s, you should be able to start your 4D difficulty mode playthrough. Here, the enemies have anywhere between 1.8 to 3 times more health. This playthrough can be quite challenging in the beginning, but will get easier once you’ve gotten better equipment. After defeating the final boss on 4D mode, you will unlock the Toughest Challenge trophy.

From this point on, it’s a matter of mopping up any few remaining trophies. This may include those relating to the Bunny Race and collecting 80% of the battle trophies for the Elite Trophy Collector trophy. Be sure to check out the Star Ocean Till The End Of Time trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness Trophy Guide PS4

Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  An action J-RPG and the fifth major installment in the Star Ocean series. While the Platinum is somewhat easier than the previous game, three full playthroughs and over 100 hours of gaming is required.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, is a sci-fi action RPG and the fifth major installment in the Star Ocean series, following after Star Ocean: The Last Hope. Similar to previous games in the series, players control one of seven party members in real-time battle sequences, with the ability to switch between characters. New to the series is the ability to craft items, and improvements to the AI.

The story is set in SD 537 (2623 AD) between the events of The Second Story and Till the End of Time, on the planet Faykreed located 6,000 light years from Earth, where first contact has been made by visitors from an advanced race, throwing the planet into a civil war. Meanwhile, a mysterious young girl has been found from the wreckage of a crashed spaceship.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 58%, praised for its story, engaging characters, and fun gameplay, though criticized for technical issues and lack of polish.

If you've played other games in the Star Ocean series, then you should have a good idea of what's expected. Overall, Integrity and Faithlessness is a little easier than its predecessor, The Last Hope. However, three full playthroughs are required, on of which on its hardest difficulty mode, and plenty of farming to do. Like many J-RPG titles, the 3-star difficulty rating is more for the time involved, rather than skills required.

Expect around 110-120 hours for the Platinum.

NOTE: While the trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3, the PS3 version is only in Japanese.

You will need to do three playthroughs, as the difficulty-related trophies do not stack. Start your playthrough on Earth mode, which is the easiest. Start by playing till about 80% of the game. Along the way, keep note of the following missable trophies: My Reaction When for using an emote during a cutscene, Boss Of The Bestiary for encountering every enemy, and Compendium Completionist for cataloguing all 623 items. Check out the Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details on these. Although you'll be doing two more playthroughs later, we recommend getting these now just so you won't need to worry about them.

Eventually, after about 80% into the story, you'll be on a ship in your private quarters to sleep, when you'll receive a warning that you'll be approaching the end, and ask if you wish to proceed. At this point, make a back-up file. This way, after you've completed the game and witnessed one of the endings, you can reload and view the next one. Rinse and repeat until you've viewed all six different endings, and gotten each of their respective trophies.

After that, you'll want to work on all the other miscellaneous trophies, except for those related to playing on the harder levels. This should include Boss OF The Bestiary trophy, Consummate Combatant for obtaining al battle trophies, acquiring all battle skills and spells for the Supernal Aspirations trophy, and a few others. Again, check out the Star Ocean Integrity and Faithlessness trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you're still missing and their requirements.

Next, start a second playthrough, this time on Universal mode. Here is your chance to mop-up any missable trophies you couldn't unlock during your first playthrough. Completing this playthrough will unlock both The Legend Begins for starting a second playthrough, and Universally Renowned for completing Univeral mode.

Finally, it's time for one more playthrough, this time on Chaos difficulty. For the most part, Chaos shouldn't prove to be very difficult except for a few bosses. Completing this will unlock the Survivor Of Chaos trophy, and hopefully, the Platinum trophy as well.
