Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game as part of the Final Fantasy franchise, and the second MMO in the series after Final Fantasy XI. The game is a replacement of the 2010 Final Fantasy XIV which took place five years earlier, and was shut down due to poor reception. Players design their characters among several races and starting classes, and improve their stats by leveling up through gained experience points by fulfilling quests and battling enemies. The game also includes a player versus player arena in which a team of four players battle other online players in different modes.

The story takes place in Eorzea, a region on the planet Hydaelyn, made up of three large continents each with different environments and climates. After experiencing a set of visions, the adventurer meets the leader of a secret society who explains the visions mark the adventurer as a chosen representative of Hydaelyn.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn received positive reviews with an average score of 83%, praised for its overall improvement from the 2010 Final Fantasy XIV, specifically to the combat system, game engine, environment, and was both praised and criticized for its writing.

The Platinum for this MMO is not only challenging due specifically to one trophy, but incredibly time consuming. The Seeker Of Truth trophy for completing the Binding Coil not only requires excellent skills and strategy, but the skills of your party members as well, in addition to complete cooperation. Also, An Adventurer's Life trophy for completing 1,000 levequests requires a minimum of six months, since it's only possible to do six per day.

Expect roughly 500-600 hours of game time for the Platinum if you rush through things, spaced over six months.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 share the same list with those on the PS3.

Before we begin, it should be noted that the Warrior Of Light trophy could technically be missable for players who began playing the game on the PC. This is because the final quest, The Ultimate Weapon, needs to be completed either on the PS3 or PS4 version for the trophy to unlock. However, if you haven't played the game on the PC, didn't port your character, or at least haven't yet completed the final quest on the PC, then you have nothing to worry about.

Design any character you want, though keep in mind that since damage dealers are the most common, as in most MMORPGs, you will have an easier time finding groups if you select a tank or healer class. But you're in this for the long haul if you're going for the Platinum, so it's most important to feel comfortable with your class.

Start things by going through and eventually completing the main game. Your should earn some story-related trophies, as well as a few others naturally along the way.

As you go through the main story, you'll also be leveling-up your character of course, while also working towards the 1,000-related trophies, such as completing 1,000 levequests which you'll need allowances for that are distributed as three every twelve hours, and the crafting-related trophies for eventually synthesizing 1,000 items for each type.

Also, while playing through the main story, you should be making an effort to meet people and find online friends. If you're having trouble, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab. You'll especially need the online assistance when you are going for The Seeker Of Truth trophy.

Once that's finished, it's time to start grinding. Continue working on the crafting-related trophies until you've eventually gotten them all, keep upgrading, make Gil, and remember to keep doing those levequests as often as you can.

Once you've reached Level 50, you can start farming for Tomes of Mythology by dong high level dungeons. Your ultimate goal here is to obtain a full set of Myth armor and a Relic weapon. Through this, you should eventually unlock the To Crush 10,000 Enemies trophy for doing just that, and the Repeat Offender trophy for clearing 100 instanced raids with at least four people in your party. Again, keep doing those levequests until you've unlocked An Adventurer's Life trophy.

After that, it's time to mop up what's left. This may include the Slay They Neighbor trophy for participating in a PvP event, and of course the dreaded Seeker Of Truth trophy. Again, check out boosting forums under our Links tab if you're looking for players. And be sure to check out the Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still may need and their requirements.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Remix Trophy Guide PS4

Kingdom Hearts II Final Remix Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  An action RPG and remastered from the original 2005 PS2 version, which combines characters and worlds from the Disney franchise with the Final Fantasy series. The Platinum requires some skill and patience, and a lot of time.

Kingdom Hearts II Final Remix

Kingdom Hearts II Final Remix is an action RPG which combines characters and worlds from Disney films as well as Square Enix's Final Fantasy series. The game was first released in 2005 on the PlayStation 2, then remastered in HD as part of the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix collection for the PlayStation 3 in 2014, and again on the PlayStation 4 in 2017. The game can be played in either first or third person, where players attack enemies in a hack-and-slash style gameplay, while upgrading and accessing new abilities by accumulating experience points.

A year following the events of the original Kingdom Hearts, where Sora, Donald, and Goofy have been in suspended animation to obtain their lost memories. They soon find themselves in Twilight Town, where they are sent on their next quest by King Mickey.

The original Kingdom Hearts II received critical acclaim with an average score of 89%, praised for its engaging story, immersive worlds realistically recreated from their respective Disney films, graphics, and improvements over its predecessor.

While the game can be challenging at times, particularly during the beginning of the Critical difficulty playthrough, as well as some mini-games and boss battles, the Platinum is still very doable for any average gamer. However, a lot of time will be required. The Platinum can either be earned in one playthrough on Critical difficulty, or split into two, making things easier but longer. There are no missable trophies to worry about.

Expect anywhere between 75 to over 100 hours, depending on whether you choose to perform one or two playthroughs, as well as having any previous experience with the game.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

Critical mode, the game's most difficulty mode, is available from the beginning. So if you wish to unlock the Platinum in one playthrough, you can. However, be warned that some of the trophies can be quite frustrating on Critial mode, especially for beginner players. If this is your first time, we recommend splitting your playthrough in two: one on Beginner (or Standard) difficulty and unlocking nearly all the trophies, then a second on Critical just to clear the game.

There are no missable trophies to worry about, so just play through the story and enjoy the game. You'll be unlocking some story-related trophies, as well as a few others naturally along the way.

Next, it's time to put in more time and effort in unlocking all those miscellaneous trophies. These can be done in any order you wish, though we recommend starting with completing all the puzzles, collecting all the maps, and completing the mission entries in Jiminy's Journal, all the while getting Sora up to Level 99 for the Level Master trophy. Once Sora's level has been maxed out, you can start going after the more challenging trophies, such as those related to the optional boss battles. Be sure to check out the Kingdom Hearts II Final Remix trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

If you'd selected to play on Critical difficulty, then you should have the Platinum after unlocking all those miscellaneous trophies. If not, then now is the time to start your Critical run. Since you should already have all the other trophies, then you just need to play through and complete the game to unlock the Critical Competitor trophy, which will also automatically unlock any other difficulty-related trophies you still needed.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Trophy Guide

Rise of the Tomb Raider Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A third-person action-adventure and sequel to the 2013 reboot Tomb Raider. The Platinum is fairly average in difficulty, though will require some time.

Game Name Difficulty Trophies Developer Country Bronze Silver Gold Online DLC

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a third-person action adventure, the eleventh title in the Tomb Raider series, and a sequel to the 2013 reboot Tomb Raider. Players use a wide variety of weapons to take out enemies, use the environment such as explosive barrels or cutting rope-wrapped structures, or utilize stealth techniques. Gained experience points can be used to improve skills.

Taking place one year following the events of Tomb Raider, Lara Croft is experiencing PTSD due to her experiences on Yamatai. In a search for answers, she decides to revisit her late father's research on a quest for the lost city of Kitezh, which is told to hold the secrets of immortality.

Rise of the Tomb Raider received positive reviews with an average score of 88%, praised for its graphics, environments, and stealth sections, though criticized by some for underdeveloped characters, simple story, and some technical issues such as the game's frame rate.

The game is fairly average in terms of difficulty, though will require a bit of time. At least one full playthrough on Survivor difficulty is required, and plenty of collectibles to find, as well as getting gold medals in all levels. However, the game includes both a free roam, as well as a chapter select, so nothing is missable. There are two online trophies, though these simply require an internet connection.

Expect around 45-55 hours for the Platinum, depending on skills.

Survivor difficulty is available from the beginning, and you'll need to complete the story on this level for the Ultimate Survivor trophy. Aside from taking more damage, your health won't regenerate unless you use med kits. However, Survivor difficulty is not that hard for any average player, so if you wish to avoid a second playthrough, we recommend beginning on that.

Since there will be a free roam and chapter select after completing your playthrough, almost none of the trophies are missable. Yet, we recommend finding as many collectibles as you can, which will not only make the mopping-up after easier, but add to your XP during your Survivor playthrough.

The only trophy to watch out for is the Avid Shopper trophy, which requires you to purchase all items from the supply shack. It's possible to not have enough gold in the free roam stage to get this trophy. To be on the safe side, avoid purchasing the Crafting Tool and Enhancement Tool during your playthrough, and instead get them in the free roam.

Once you've completed your Survival difficulty plathrough, it's time to achieve 100% completion for the No Stone Unturned trophy. This includes, following clearing the main game, beating all the Challenge Tombs, raided all the Crypts, finished all the Challenges and Side Missions, and found all the collectibles. You'll unlock a number of trophies on your route to getting the No Stone Unturned trophy. Check out the collectibles location guides under our Links tab for help on this, if necessary.

After that, it's time to mop-up all the miscellaneous trophies you're still missing, with the exception of those related to the Score Attack and collecting cards. Be sure to check out the Rise of the Tomb Raider trophy guide links under our Links tab to see which of these miscellaneous trophies you still need, and their requirements. This may include a few trophies that are easier to collect on a lower-level of difficulty, such as killing five enemies in ten seconds with a rifle for the A Trusty Old Friend trophy, or three enemies with a single shotgun blast for the Triple Threat trophy.

Also, by now you should have enough credits to buy the 300 cards needed for both the Quite The Collector and These Belong In A Museum trophies. These two trophies are the only ones which are technically online, as they require an internet connection.

Lastly, are the Score Attack related trophies. These include basically replaying each chapter and completing them with a Gold Rating. There are eight trophies to unlock here on your way to getting the Gold Child trophy.

The Tokyo Game Show 2018

It’s that time of the year again, when we push through the crowds under humid weather, and make our way to Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, on our way to the Tokyo Game Show 2018. The event is expected to be even larger this year, with 668 companies and organizations (609 last year) showing off a total of 1,568 game titles from across 41 different countries and regions. Plus, the Japan e-Sports Union (JeSU) was established just this past Spring, marking the Tokyo Game Show 2018 the first time e-Sports will be holding professional competitions.

Tokyo Game Show 2018

One of the most anticipated titles being presented in the main hall was Square Enix’s Kingdom Hearts III. It has been 13 years since the Square Enix / Disney cross-over RPG had a full sequel, after multiple remakes, prologues, and side stories. Set for release in January 2019, Kingdom Hearts III will feature returning worlds such as Olympus from Hercules and the Caribbean from Pirates of the Caribbean, new stories from Big Hero 8 and Toy Story, and a completely new, original world that has not yet been disclosed. Visitors at TGS 2018 were able to learn more at the Square Enix booth, as well as play the demo at the PlayStation area.

Tokyo Game Show 2018

Tokyo Game Show 2018

Tokyo Game Show 2018

Also, Capcom was a big hit at the Tokyo Game Show 2018 with their presentation of Devil May Cry 5. The last we saw Dante battling demons was ten years ago, when the PS3 was still fresh on the shelf and trophy support was on its way. We did get a reboot/prequel called DmC: Devil May Cry in 2013, and while the game was critically successful, fans weren’t too happy with the changes. The long-awaited Devil May Cry 5 had playable demos at the PlayStation area as well as the Capcom booth, with a scheduled retail release on January 25.

Tokyo Game Show 2018

Tokyo Game Show 2018

And speaking of Capcom, this year marks the 30th Anniversary of the Mega Man (Rockman in Japanese) series. Not only were there playable demos for Mega Man 11 scheduled for release next month, but a museum dedicated to the platforming, shooting robot, complete with commemorative coins, figures, stamps, illustrations, and soundtracks, while also showcasing the game’s history.

Tokyo Game Show 2018

Tokyo Game Show 2018

Finally, Bandai-Namco had several titles on display – the most notable being God Eater 3, a game which made its debut on the PSP back in 2010. The God Eater series, which features battles against huge monsters known as Aragami, may not be huge sellers overseas, but are smash hits here in Japan. God Eater 3 is set for release in Japan on December 13, though no world-wide launch date has yet been decided.

Tokyo Game Show 2018

Virtual Reality is still a hot item here in Japan. The Japanese company JPPVR had a booth that was at least eight times larger than last year, showcasing VR games with sleek, cool looking vehicles to ride, creating a 4D experience. They ranged from motorcycles and racing cars that looked like something out of Tron, a Gatling gun on the top of a starship, and a bicycle for traversing across the top of skyscrapers.

Tokyo Game Show 2018

Tokyo Game Show 2018

Sony, meanwhile, still continues to promote their PSVR, with visitors trying out Everybody’s Golf VR, and the platforming Astro Bot Rescue Mission scheduled for release on October 2.

Tokyo Game Show 2018

Overall, the Tokyo Game Show 2018 had some delightful surprises and some unique – and hilarious – Indie games. I was glad to see that VR is still going strong, with more titles to look forward to on the PSVR.
