Resident Evil 6 PS4

Resident Evil 6 is a third-person over-the-shoulder survival-horror action shooter, with co-op play similar to its prequel Resident Evil 5. The game was first released on the PlayStation 3 in October 2012, and ported onto the PlayStation 4 in March 2016.

The story is broken into four sections, each revolving around the same central events but from different characters' points of view, taking place in a variety of locations until their separate storylines eventually converge in China. Nearly all the main characters from the previous games return, while Umbrella prepares to unleash a deadly virus which could cause another Raccoon City.

The game received mixed reviews, with an average score of 74%. Despite the fantastic graphics and epic story, the game was criticized by some for drawn-out boss battles, added elements such as driving stages, and a further depart from the series' original "survival-horror" genre and becoming more of an action-shooter.

If you've gotten the platinum on Resident Evil 5, then you have a good idea of what's involved for RE6. Playing the game at least twice, once on Professional mode, finding emblems, farming for skill points, and using chapter select to mop-up anything else you need.

The Platinum will take roughly between 40-60 hours, depending on your skills, and whether or not you're playing co-op with someone who knows what they're doing.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS4 version have a separate list than those on the PS3.

While it's certainly possible to perform one full playthrough by selecting Professional mode, unless you've got some serious skills, we don't recommend it. Instead, start out on Amateur. By beating the game, you will unlock the ability to purchase infinite ammo using your skill points, which will make your playthrough on Professional much easier. For the most part, simply play each of the four campaigns (Ada Wong's story unlocks after clearing the previous three) from start to finish, while trying to find all the Serpent Emblems along the way.

Once you've finished your first playthrough (and if you haven't played on Professional) we recommend farming for some skill points - particularly to spend on the infinite ammo, as well as any other skills you feel will make your life easier, before attempting Professional mode. A good place to farm is Jake's story, 4-3, in which you enter a room with no enemies, but contains one box with 2,000 skill points, and another with 5,000. Then head out of the room, wait for the game to save, and repeat.

After having played the game on Professional mode, all that's left is mopping-up any missed trophies. Use the Chapter Select, and check out the trophy guides in our Links page to help you.

Resident Evil 5 Trophy Guide

Resident Evil 5 - or Biohazard 5, as it's known in Japan - continues the third-person action horror series which began on the first PlayStation One in 1996. The game was first released on the PlayStation 3 in March 2009, and ported onto the PlayStation 4 in June 2016.

Chris Redfield, now part of Bioterrism Security Assessment Alliance, is sent to Kijuju in Africa. There, he is paired with Seva Alomar to stop Ricardo Irving from selling bio-organic weapons on the black market. However, they soon learn that the BSAA's Alpha team are dead, and that the locals have turned into Majini. During their escape, Chris finds evidence that his former partner, Jill Valentine, is still alive, and that Albert Wesker may be involved with what's happening in Africa.

Though having been questioned for possibly possessing racist undertones, Resident Evil 5 scored highly in most gaming magazines and websites, with an average rating of 83% for its fast-paced action and stellar graphics, though criticized for the single player AI.

For more information, check out our Resident Evil 5 Review.

This game requires several playthroughs, some farming for money in order to upgrade weapons, and even online play in order to collect points used to purchase the infinite ammo.

Also, if you're playing by yourself - good luck! When your partner Sheva becomes an NPC, she turns into a complete retard - uses healing when it's not necessary, running in front of enemies to collect gold, and standing there doing nothing while a swarm of monsters are coming at you. It's not only possible to play this game as two-player split screen (or online co-op) it's also highly recommended!

The Platinum is certainly possible in this game. Just don't expect to get it over night.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS3 version have a separate list than those on the PS4.

As mentioned earlier, this game will require several playthroughs - not to mention some farming.

Use the walkthroughs in our Links section to help locate all the treasures, BSAA emblems, and all 4 types of eggs.

Next, focus on purchasing all the figurines, and upgrading all your weapons. You'll need lots of cash for this, so we recommend playing on Stage 5-1. Select the Magnum (infinite ammo helps) and play through to the animal cages in the underground lab, where you'll be attacked by several Lickers - which drop Lion Heart gems worth $10,000. Immediately after killing the Lickers, save and quit your game. Each time you return, you'll be right back with the Lickers. Keep farming until you have enough money to upgrade all your weapons.

If you're interested in getting the infinite ammo for all your weapons - and so are in need of points - we recommend playing the Survival online game. Simply go through with a friend or stranger, and as long as you don't die, you'll collect a heap of points which can be used to unlock the infinite ammo.

Clearing the game on Professional will probably be one of the last trophies to collect. This is not easy! Many of the majini will kill you with one hit. The rocket launcher with infinite ammo is highly recommended, as is the Magnum, and playing with a friend rather than with Sheva as an NPC.

Resident Evil Trophy Guide

Resident Evil Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A few tricky Trophies, but doable to any average player. Those already with experience in the game should be able to speed through.

Resident Evil

Resident Evil, known as BioHazard in Japan, was first released on the PlayStation One and Sega Saturn in 1996, then remastered with new graphics, voice actors, and revised puzzles for the GameCube in 2002, before being released on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in early 2014 and late 2015. The game is a third-person survival horror, and the first in the Resident Evil series which introduces the characters Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Albert Wesker.

After a series of strange murders on the edge of Raccoon City, the Police Department's Special Tactics And Rescue Service (STARS) sends a team out to investigate. After contact with that team is lost, STARS sends out a second team, and learn the horrors of what happened - and the secret lurking within a nearby mansion.

The original Resident Evil Remastered received high praise with an average score of 89% for its graphics, atmosphere, realistic sounds, and overall frights.

This would be a high 2-star rating for those playing Resident Evil for the first time, and a low 2-star for players experienced with having played it either on the GameCube or even the PlayStation One, and are able to speed through the story. While there are a few trophies which can be fairly tricky, any average player should have the skills to unlock them. What the game mainly demands is time and patience, as you'll need to do a number of playthroughs - four for veteran players, though six or even seven for most.

Expect anywhere between 10-40 hours of gameplay, depending on your familiarity with the game and the number of playthroughs you do.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS4 share the same list as those on the PS3.

There are two ways you can go about unlocking the platinum: quick and difficult, or slow and easier. A number of trophies require certain conditions to be met upon completing a playthrough, some of which can be compiled onto one playthrough. The more of these conditions you're attempting to do in one playthrough, the more difficult things will get.

If you are already experienced with the game and are prepared for the challenge, then the platinum can be earned in four playthroughs. Here is the pattern we recommend: Playthrough 1: Play as Chris on Normal mode, while using only the Knife, on a Speedrun of under 3 hours, without saving the game, and end the game by saving no one. Playthrough 2: Play as Chris on Hard mode, aiming to save everyone. Playthrough 3: Play as Jill on Survival mode, saving everyone. Playthrough 4: Play as Jill on Invisible Enemy mode, saving no one.

If you don't feel confident in getting the platinum in only four playthroughs, then you can simply divide some of these conditions into another playthrough. If you're brand new to the game and even genre, you might even with to play through the game on Easy just to simply orient yourself with Resident Evil.

Here is a longer, but easier method: Playthrough 1: Play as Chris on Easy or Normal, saving everyone. Playthrough 2: Play as Chris on Easy or Normal, saving no one. Playthrough 3: Play as Jill on Easy or Normal, saving no one. Playthrough 4: Play as Jill on Hard, saving no one. Playthrough 5: Play on Real Survival mode. Playthrough 6: Play on Invisible mode Playthrough 7: Play without saving the game. Playthrough 8: Play with using only the Knife. Playthrough 9: Play on a speedrun, completing the game in under 3 hours.

Of course, you can do a combination of these two roadmaps, depending on your skills and confidence.

Good luck!
