Wolfenstein

Wolfenstein is a first-person shooter, and a sequel to Return to Castle Wolfenstein, available on the PS2 and Xbox. The action takes place in the fictional town of Isendtadt during WWII, where players battle against not only Nazis, but supernatural creatures.

Nazis have been digging up crystals named Nachtsonne, which can be used to unleash an unspeakable power. Special agent B.J. Blazkowicz, after making a daring escape using a medallion he stole that was powered by a Nachstonne, heads to the fictional town of Isendstadt where the crystals are found, to stop the Nazi's diabolical plans.

Wolfenstein received fairly average reviews, with an average score of 72%, both praised and criticized as being a reasonably fun but typical shooter without anything particularly outstanding.

The offline trophies are fairly average, requiring a playthrough on its hardest difficulty mode, finding collectibles, and a few other miscellaneous trophies. However, the online will certainly take a big chunk out of your time. If you have a good group of two or three boosting partners, this rating could be brought down to a high 2-star.

Legitimately, expect over 100 hours of gameplay. With a boosting partner, this number could be brought down to around 40 hours or so.

It's up to you how many playthroughs you wish to do in order to work towards the Platinum, and it's certainly possible to do everything in one. You will need to play the game on its hardest difficulty setting, Uber Difficulty, as well as find all the collectibles in the form of Gold, Intel, and Tomes of Power, and get through the game with less than 3 deaths. On top of this, there are a few miscellaneous trophies to do. If you're great at multitasking, then by all means it's totally doable to complete everything in one run. If not, then you might want to divide up your playthroughs. Particularly, for example, completing the game with less than 3 deaths on an easier mode.

On the whole, Uber Difficulty isn't too hard, though you will find yourself in a few frustrating spots. Regarding the Single Quarter trophy for completing the game with less than 3 deaths, make sure that if you die, do NOT load from the last checkpoint, as this will register your death. Instead, quit to the main menu and reload your last save. Finally, be sure to check out the trophy guides and collectible guides in our Links page to help out with the remaining trophies. It is possible to replay previous missions to mop-up any trophies you're still missing, up until the Airfield level, which is the point of no return.

Once you've completed all the offline trophies, it's time to move onto the online multiplayer, where there are 25 trophies to unlock. Your ultimate goal will be to unlock the Das Big Man trophy for reaching Rank 50. There is a glitch you can exploit, however, so check out the Links page for that. Most of the other online trophies are either kill-related, winning multiplayer games on different matches, or related to the Veil ability. In general, unlocking all the online trophies will take a bit of time. However, if you manage to find a good crew of 3 or 4 boosting buddies, the time can be cut by about 75%. Check out the boosting forums under our Links tab if this is a path that interests you.

Singularity Trophy Guide

Singularity Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A first-person shooter with horror elements, where the player-character has the ability to manipulate time. The Platinum requires completing the game on Hard difficulty, as well as a lot of time for the online trophies.

Singularity

Singularity is a first-person shooter with elements of survival horror. Aside from standard as well as imaginative firing weapons, players use a device named the Time Manipulation Device which can manipulate time, thereby moving objects forward and back in time, or sending pulses of energy that both stuns and kills enemies. The game includes an online multiplayer mode.

Captain Nathaniel Renko, along with his group of US Recon Marines, crash on an island once occupied by the Soviet Union called Katorga-12. From there, strange things begin to occur to Renko has he finds himself phasing between 1955 and present day.

Singularity, despite low sales, received mainly positive reviews with an average score of 77%, praised for its overall fun and challenge as an FPS shooter, but criticized by some for limiting an otherwise imaginative idea to a simple action game.

This is a high 2-star rating. Completing the campaign on Hard difficulty can be challenging at times, but is overall doable for an average player with patience and persistence. There are also 16 online trophies which are not difficult, but require a lot of time - particularly for playing and completing 100 matches, with each taking nearly 30 minutes.

It should also be noted that given the age of the game, finding online players can be tough, of which you need 6 in order to begin a match.

Expect at least 60 hours for this Platinum, depending on your skills and luck at finding online players.

It's quite possible to get all the offline trophies in one playthrough, and if that's your goal, then begin on Hard difficulty, which is available from the beginning. Aside from the story-related trophies which you'll unlock naturally, there are a large number of kill-related trophies to earn. During your playthrough, always take note of which trophies you've already unlocked and which you still need.

The game has no chapter select, and for that reason there are 3 missable trophies. For the E99 Tech Geek trophy, you will need to find the 10 abilities to upgrade your characters, so make sure to spend a playthrough following one of the locations guides in our Links page. For the Mother My Brain Hurts trophy, you'll need to find the pearl during the Central Docks stage. And for the That Wheel? trophy, look for the wheel in the last level of the game.

Also, once you've completed the game, reload the autosave to select one of the other three alternative endings, in order to unlock their corresponding trophy.

If you weren't able to get all the kill-related trophies, or you missed one of the missable trophies, then unfortunately you'll need to play the game again. One alternative, however, is to make manual saves during your gameplay on a portable HD. However, take note that if you've been playing the online multiplayer, your stats are saved on the PlayStation HD and not on the online servers.

Finally, with all the offline stuff out of the way, you can start grinding for the remaining online trophies. Your ultimate goal is to unlock the Extermination Addict which requires you to play 100 public matches of Extermination. Luckily, you don't actually need to win these 100 matches. But there are a number of other trophies you can work on during your progress, such as winning 25 matches of Extermination for Extermination Master, getting the highest number of kills in a public match for the Killer trophy, and a number of other kill-related trophies.

Wolverine Trophy Guide

Wolverine Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A third-person action adventure with a few puzzle elements, based on the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The Platinum is very average both in terms of time and skill involved.

Wolverine

Based loosely on the film with the same name, X-men Origins: Wolverine is a third-person action adventure with a few minor puzzles, much in the tradition of God of War and Sword of Heaven. Following the same backstory as in the film, Wolverine signs up to become Project X, but soon rebels and shreds everyone in sight. While making his escape from the experimental complex, the story periodically moves into a flashback, where Wolverine is following Stryker's orders to investigate a fallen meteorite which landed in Africa.

Unlike most film-adapted games, Wolverine adds a little more to the story, and received fair reviews from most gaming magazines, averaging a 76% score.

Kill a certain number of enemies, use different attacks, mas out your upgrades, collect all the dog tags, and beat the game on Hard. That's about it.

Like most games based off films, X-men Origins: Wolverine is relatively fun and well done, but nothing ground-breaking. So is its difficulty in acquiring the platinum. If you follow the guides under our Links tab, you should complete 100% in around 20-25 hours.

Start by playing through on Easy - or Normal, if you wish for more of a challenge. You will need a full playthrough in order to unlock Hard mode. During this playthrough, follow one of the walkthroughs under our Links tab to recover all the dog tags, as well as locating certain treasures and secrets along the way.

After that, mop up all the remaining trophies via the chapter select. Be sure to check out the Wolverine trophy guide links under our Links page to see what you still need. By the end of this step, you should have everything except for the Walking Death trophy for completing Hard. This needs to be done last, as starting a new game will reset all your stats.

Then, simply play through on Hard and complete the game.
