PlayStation Plus Free Games January 2024

We are reaching the end of the year, which may be farewell for some, and good riddance for others. Regardless of how you feel, a new year means new games to play. And so without further ado, here is the next PlayStation Plus free games January 2024 which will be available for download on Tuesday, January 2.

First, there is A Plague Tale: Requiem, the action stealth game developed by Asobo Studios. In this sequel to the 2019 A Plague Tale: Innocence, players take control of the character Amicia, who visits a tropical island with her brother in order to find a cure for a strange illness, but must fight or hide from the island’s population which has turned against them. A Plague Tale: Requiem plays in a similar style to its predecessor, though its combat system has been expanded.

Also, there is Evil West, the third-person shooter by Flying Wild Hog. Jesse Rentier is a vampire hunter, and uses a range of weapons to destroy the demons that lurk in the Wild West.

Lastly, there is Nobody Saves the World, an action-RPG and dungeon crawler by DrinkBox Studios. From a top-down perspective, players control Nobody, a character equipped with a magic wand which allows him to change into 18 different forms, such as a robot, a dragon, and a magician.

All three PlayStation Plus free games January 2024 titles have Platinum trophies to unlock. Also, both Evil West and Nobody Saves the World is available on both the PS4 and PS5, while A Plague Tale: Requiem is for the PlayStation 5 only.

Among these titles, A Plague Tale: Requiem is perhaps the quickest and easiest Platinum to obtain. The game itself is not particularly hard, and player can expect around 25-30 hours to collect all the trophies.

Nobody Saves the World is of average difficulty, with a few challenging dungeons here and there. The game will require at least two playthroughs, and 25-30 hours to obtain the Platinum.

Lastly, Evil West can be quite challenging, particularly since it requires a playthrough on Evil Difficulty. The Platinum may take around 35-40 hours of gameplay, though this is highly skill-dependent.

PlayStation Plus Free Games December 2023

The winter holidays are fast approaching, and to celebrate, Sony is releasing three free games which don’t really have anything to do with the winter holidays. But hey, free games are free games, which means more trophies to be had. And so, here is the next PlayStation Plus free games December 2023 line-up which will be available for download on Tuesday, December 5.

First, there’s LEGO 2K Drive, a cart racing game based on the LEGO franchise. The game features a story, side-quests, the ability to create your own vehicle with LEGO blocks, and plenty of destructible objects to smash through.

Next, there’s PowerWash Simulator, the hit simulation game developed by FuturLabs and released last year. Grab your power washing tools, and start cleaning a variety of projects including cars, houses, backyards, and amusement park attractions.

Finally, there’s Sable, the open-world exploration game by Shedworks. Players take control of the titular character Sable, a young girl who ventures into the desert in search of a mask, as a coming-of-age rite of passage in her nomadic clan.

All three PlayStation Plus Free Games December 2023 titles have Platinum trophies to unlock. Also, LEGO 2K Drive and PowerWash Simulator are available for both the PS4 and the PS5, while Sable is only for the PS5.

Sable is perhaps both the easiest and quickest Platinum to obtain. Many of the puzzles can be figured out even without a guide. Expect around 20-25 hours of gameplay.

PowerWash Simulator is arguably also a fairly easy game. There are a few challenges which may require a few tries, but for the most part, it is only time that you will need. Expect around 50-60 hours of gameplay for the Platinum. Also, completionists should take note that there are a few DLC packs which are not included with this freebie version, adding more trophies to the list.

Obtaining the Platinum on LEGO 2K Drive is also not particularly difficult, with only a few “On-the-Go” challenges may require some retries. This one is also more time-consuming than difficult, with roughly 55-65 hours of gameplay required.

PlayStation Plus Free Games November 2023

Happy Belated Halloween! Yesterday was a time of ghosts and goblins, and Sony is adding aliens to that blend of spooky horror. And so, here is the next PlayStation Plus free games November 2023 line-up which will be available for download on Tuesday, November 7.

First, there is Aliens: Fireteam Elite, the third-person shooter developed by Cold Iron Studios and released two years ago, based on the Alien film series. The game takes place 23 years after the events of the original Alien trilogy, where players select from seven different character classes and board a spaceship of Marines, off to investigate a distress call.

Next, there is Dragon Ball: The Breakers, released in 2022 by Namco Bandai, based on the hit manga/anime Dragon Ball series. Unlike other Dragon Ball titles, Dragon Ball: The Breakers plays more as an action-survival, where players must outsmart the Raider and each other to become the last person standing.

Lastly, there is Mafia 2: Definitive Edition, a remaster of the original Mafia II first released in 2010 developed by 2K Czech. The Mafia 2: Definitive Edition by Hangar 13, is a visual upgrade which also includes the three DLC stories and four packs of bonus content.

All three PlayStation Plus free games November 2023 titles have Platinum trophies to unlock. Also, only Aliens: Fireteam Elite is available for both the PS4 and PS5, while Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Dragon Ball: The Breakers is only for the PS4.

Among these, Mafia II: Definitive Edition arguably has the easiest Platinum. Although players will need to complete the story on Hard difficulty, the challenge is overall not too bad – especially for players who had already played the original Mafia II on the PS3. Expect around 25 hours of gameplay for the Platinum.

Getting the Platinum on Dragon Ball: The Breakers can be quite challenging without a group of boosting partners, but much easier if you have friends to help you out. Either way, you can still expect 60-70 hours of gameplay for this one.

Obtaining the Platinum trophy for Aliens: Fireteam Elite is both extremely challenging, and will take well over 100 hours of gameplay. Not only does it require multiple playthroughs and time to max out equipment and obtain all the kill-related trophies, but clearing the game on both Extreme and Insane difficulty is what blocks many players from earning this Platinum.

PlayStation Plus Free Games October 2023

It’s September which means, in many Western countries, students are heading back to school for another year of pencils, books, and teacher’s dirty looks. More than ever, some of us may need something to help us relax on the weekends – and Sony has the answer. Games! And so, here is the next PlayStation Plus free games October 2023 line-up with will be available for download on Tuesday, October 2.

First, there’s The Callisto Protocol, a survival horror game developed by Striking Distance Studios, and considered a spiritual successor to the Dead Space series. Play as Jacob Lee, a starship captain who crash lands on the Jovian moon Callisto and finds himself in a high-security prison. From here, it is a fight for survival as a strange illness is infecting the inmates.

Next, there is Farming Simulator 22, where players can take a break and enjoy the outdoors while growing crops, breeding livestock, or simply driving your tractor in circles. For those of you who have had a PlayStation Plus membership since at least May 2020, you should already have Farming Simulator 19 in your collection. And if you have unlocked the Platinum on that one, then you know what to expect for Farming Simulator 22.

Lastly, there is Weird West, the top-down action RPG developed by WolfEye Studios. Play through the stories of five unique characters from the American frontier and journey through a world composed of randomized elements.

All three titles of the PlayStation Plus free games October 2023 are available for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, and all three titles include a Platinum trophy to unlock.

Among them, Farming Simulator 22 is by far the easiest Platinum. However, if this is your first experience with the series, be prepared to watch several YouTube videos to get the hang of the game. Also, be prepared to put in a good 60 hours for the Platinum.

The Platinum for The Callisto Protocol could be considered a challenge, but thanks to an exploit, makes for an easy game to collect all trophies. With the exploit, the Platinum can be unlocked in 12-15 hours.

Unlocking the Platinum for Weird West is also below average in terms of difficulty. The game may feel challenging in the beginning, but will get easier as you collect better weapons and equipment. This Platinum will take roughly 25-30 hours of gameplay.

PlayStation Plus Free Games September 2023

Tired of summer holidays, hanging out with friends, and lying on the beach? Hoping to just chill indoors and play some games? Well, you’re in luck, because Sony has just announced their next PlayStation Plus free games September 2023 line-up which will be available for download on Tuesday, September 5.

First, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s the Saints Row reboot. This is a complete remake of the original 2006 open-world GTA-like game, before the series started to include aliens and Satan. Taking place in the fictional city of Santo Ileso, players join their friends to take down rival gangs while wrecking havoc on the city in the process.

Next, for the PS4, there’s Generation Zero, the 2019 first-person shooter developed by Systemic Reaction. Blast away at giant robots which have taken over your hometown in 1989 Sweden. The game can be played in solo-mode, or co-op with up to three players.

Lastly, for the PS4, there’s the 2019 MMORPG Black Desert, developed by the South Korean company Pearl Abyss. Taking place in a high fantasy, players can roam the open world battling enemies in an active combat system, tame and breed mounts, as well as fish and cook. The game also includes large-scale PvP siege wars.

All three titles of the PlayStation Plus free games September 2023 have a platinum trophy to unlock.

Among them, Saints Row is certainly the quicker Platinum and requires roughly around 40 hours of gameplay. There is only one online trophy related to co-op play, and while the trophy itself is not difficult, co-op has been reported to be quite buggy and result in crashes. Also, Completionists should be aware that there are three DLC packs which are not included in the PlayStation Plus Free Games September 2023 line-up, which total an extra 14 trophies.

If you are playing Generation Zero solo, then expect a bit of a challenge and at least 80 hours of gameplay. If you are playing this co-op, the Platinum is relatively easy and can be completed in around 50 hours. Unfortunately, this is another game in which the co-op has been reportedly buggy and can result in crashes.

Lastly, Black Desert has an easy Platinum to obtain. However, expect to do a lot of grinding. Specifically, at least 150 hours worth of grinding.
