Having a hard time adjusting to the summer heat? Maybe you’re better off staying in a nice air-conditioned room, while playing some free games. So, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games August 2022 available for download on Tuesday, August 2.

First, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Released in 2020, the game is the 8th in the Yakuza series, though is unique in that it plays as a turn-based RPG, and introduces the new character Ichiban Kasuga who had been betrayed and incarcerated for 18 years.

Also, for both the PS4 and PS5, is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2. First released in 2020, the game is a combined remaster of the first two skateboarding games in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series nearly 20 years ago.

Lastly, for the PS4, there’s the platforming puzzle horror, Little Nightmares. First released five years ago, the story follows a girl named Six who must escape from the maw which is home to horrible creatures.

Among the PlayStation Plus free games August 2022, only Little Nightmares does not have a Platinum trophy to unlock.

The Platinum for Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the easier of the two, being a turn-based RPG. However, there is a lot of grinding involved, so be prepared to spend around 80 hours of gameplay.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 can be quite challenging for anyone new to the series, but of average difficulty for those who are familiar with the series. Either way, the Platinum for this game will also require some grinding and around 70-90 hours of gameplay, depending on your skills.

Unlocking 100% of the trophies for Little Nightmares is not particularly difficult if you are following a guide, and can be achieved in under five hours.

PlayStation Plus Free Games July 2022

Summer has arrived! But who wants to enjoy the outdoors with its sun and fresh air, when we could be inside playing games? So, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games July 2022 available for download on Tuesday, July 5.

First, available for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. First released in 2020, the game follows all the same platforming adventures as its predecessors, while including a few new elements, as Crash and his sister Coco try to stop Doctor Neo Cortex and Doctor Nefarious Tropy from conquering the multiverse.

Also for both the PS4 and PS5 is Arcadegeddon, a third-person shooter first released a year ago for the PC. Play solo or up to three friends in co-op as you battle the evil mega corporation attempting to infect the owner of a local arcade with a virus.

Lastly, for the PS4, there’s The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan, an interactive drama survival horror first released in 2019. Make decisions and guide four college students who are forced to search for the Manchurian Gold by a group of pirates.

All three PlayStation Plus free games July 2022 have Platinum trophies to unlock.

The Platinum for The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan is the easiest Platinum to be had, particularly if you are following a walkthrough. This one will require roughly 30 hours of gameplay, and some QTE events may be tricky due to the game’s performance issues.

The Platinum for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is quite challenging, as you will need to perform not only speed runs on each of the levels, but each level must be beaten perfectly, as well. The time for unlocking the Platinum trophy could take anywhere between 100-150 hours, depending on your skills and experience with previous Crash Bandicoot games.

Since Arcadegeddon is still a rather new game, we do not yet have enough information on its Platinum’s difficulty or time required. However, we will update this article in the near future.

PlayStation Plus Free Games June 2022

Worried about those pesky allergies? Well, Sony has the answer – stay indoors and play some games. Here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games June 2022 available for download on Tuesday, June 7.

First, for the PS4, there’s the 2018 God of War. Taking place several years following the events of God of War III, Kratos sets off on another adventure with his son, traversing six different realms while battling against Norse gods using a new set of weapons.

Also for the PS4, there’s Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, a 4v4 online multiplayer where players can create their own customized character and fight enemies, set in the Naruto world.

Lastly, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, , a fighting game similar in style to Super Smash Bros, where players can select characters from various Nickelodeon programs including Avatar: The Last Airbender, Ren & Stimpy, Ninja Turtles, and SpongeBob SquarePants, and battle in single-player or online matches.

The Platinum for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is by far the easiest and can be accomplished in under 10 hours. There are a few online trophies, though these can easily be boosted with a partner.

The Platinum for God of War is of average difficulty. There are no missable trophies since the game is open-world, though expect to search around for collectibles and challenges. Expect around 40-50 hours of gameplay for this one.

While the Platinum for Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is also fairly average in terms of difficulty, playing 1000 online battles will certainly take up most of your gameplay time, requiring just under 200 hours of gameplay.

Spring is finally here! Let’s all celebrate the warming weather and blooming flowers by staying indoors and playing some games. And so, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games May 2022 available for download on Tuesday, May 3.

First, for the PS4, there’s Curse of the Dead Gods, a dungeon crawler developed by Passtech Games. Players explore procedurally generated dungeons in search of money, power, and eternal life, while battling enemies and avoiding traps.

Also on the PS4, there’s FIFA 22, the next installment in EA’s football/soccer franchise. Play through the Career mode, play against other players online, and enjoy the newly added HyperMotion Technology which adds more life-like player movements and animations in real time.

Finally, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Tribes of Midgard, an action-RPG with a top-down view by Norsfell Games. Players can either play solo or form a tribe of up to 10 players, and venture out as a Viking hero and battle enemies from Norse mythology such as dark elves, giants, and trolls, in order to protect the seed of Yggdrasil.

Those who have played previous games in the FIFA series will be happy to know that the Platinum for FIFA 22 is relatively easier. However, keep in mind that boosting really helps in unlocking some of the online trophies, and expect around 40 hours of gameplay.

The Platinum for Curse of the Dead Gods can be fairly challenging due to some of the difficult trophies, and will require around 70-80 hours to complete.

Since Tribes of Midgard is a new game, we still do not have much information on this Platinum. However, it is rumored to be quite difficult to unlock if you are playing this game solo, so expect to find some friends to join in your quests.

Spring is fast approaching, and with it comes those pesky allergies. One way to avoid them is to stay indoors and play games all day. So, how about some freebies? Without further ado, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games April 2022 available for download on Tuesday, April 5.

For the PS4, there’s Slay the Spire by MegaCrit, the 2019 deck-building game which won over critics and received countless game award nominations. Players make their way through the levels of a spire, fighting enemies and bosses in turn-based combat through the use of attack and defense cards. Continue to build your deck, and develop strategies that see you to the end.

Also for the PS4 is SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, a remake of the 2003 platformer which in turn is based on the Nickelodeon animated series SpongeBob SquarePants. Plankton has created a robot army that is threatening Bikini Bottom, and only Spongebob, along with his friends Patrick and Sandy, and save the day. This remake includes a multiplayer mode, as well as content that had been cut from the original game.

Lastly, for PS5 owners, there’s Hood: Outlaws & Legends, an online multiplayer action title inspired by the Robin Hood legend, in which players play as outlaws competing against rival teams in stealing treasures found in vaults. Select from a range of characters each with their own abilities, seek your treasure, and decide how generous you wish to be.

The easiest Platinum, as you could probably imagine, would be for SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated. While not a complete walk in the park, the difficulty is under average, and only requires around 15-20 hours.

The Platinum for Slay the Spire is not incredibly difficult either, though requires not only strategy but a lot of luck, as well. As a result, expect anywhere between 60-80 hours of gameplay to unlock this Platinum.

Lastly, the difficulty in unlocking the Platinum for Hood: Outlaws & Legends is around average to above-average, and also requires around 60-80 hours of gameplay.
