Summer has arrived! But who wants to enjoy the outdoors with its sun and fresh air, when we could be inside playing games? So, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games July 2022 available for download on Tuesday, July 5.
First, available for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time. First released in 2020, the game follows all the same platforming adventures as its predecessors, while including a few new elements, as Crash and his sister Coco try to stop Doctor Neo Cortex and Doctor Nefarious Tropy from conquering the multiverse.
Also for both the PS4 and PS5 is Arcadegeddon, a third-person shooter first released a year ago for the PC. Play solo or up to three friends in co-op as you battle the evil mega corporation attempting to infect the owner of a local arcade with a virus.
Lastly, for the PS4, there’s The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan, an interactive drama survival horror first released in 2019. Make decisions and guide four college students who are forced to search for the Manchurian Gold by a group of pirates.
All three PlayStation Plus free games July 2022 have Platinum trophies to unlock.
The Platinum for The Dark Pictures: Man of Medan is the easiest Platinum to be had, particularly if you are following a walkthrough. This one will require roughly 30 hours of gameplay, and some QTE events may be tricky due to the game’s performance issues.
The Platinum for Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is quite challenging, as you will need to perform not only speed runs on each of the levels, but each level must be beaten perfectly, as well. The time for unlocking the Platinum trophy could take anywhere between 100-150 hours, depending on your skills and experience with previous Crash Bandicoot games.
Since Arcadegeddon is still a rather new game, we do not yet have enough information on its Platinum’s difficulty or time required. However, we will update this article in the near future.
