Stories: The Path of Destinies
Stories: The Path of Destinies is an action RPG with a top-down view, featuring anthropomorphic animals. Players defeat enemies through a combination of attack combos, and gain experience to unlock new skills. Players can also craft new weapons. The story includes multiple endings depends on the playerâs choices.
On an island floating through the air, Reynardo is a fox and retired pirate. After his town is destroyed by the Empireâs minions, he joins a rebellion in an attempt to defeat the Emperor.
Stories: The Path of Destinies received mainly positive reviews with an average score of 74%, praised for its innovative concept of combining an action RPG with a Choose Your Own Adventure novel, and its fluid combat system, but criticized for its repetitiveness.
The game is not particularly difficult. The hardest part about unlocking the Platinum is the grind, as you will need to play through the game at least 25 times, in order to get all the different endings. Each playthrough is roughly 40 minutes. The main reason for the 2-star difficulty is for the time required.
Expect around 22-25 hours for the Platinum.
Start by simply playing through the game. Since youâll be playing several times, thereâs no need to go nuts and try to get as many trophies as you can on your first playthrough. Just enjoy the game, and make whatever choices you want.
The only trophy we recommend going after during your first playthrough is the Taking Care Of Yourself trophy, which involves not taking any damage during a level. This is because there are less enemies during the first playthrough. If you happen to die, return to the main menu and select to continue, which takes you back to the start of the last chapter, rather than a checkpoint.
Next, itâs time to replay the game many, many times. Your ultimate goal here, is to unlock the Bookworm trophy for uncovering all 25 story endings, and all the Truthâs. For more details on how to get these, check out the Truthâs and Story Endings guides under our Links tab.
During this step, youâll also be grinding your way towards the Sword Fu Master trophy, which requires reaching level 46. Like most RPG games, the higher the level, the more experience is required. As a result, we recommend doing story numbers 8, 12, 13, 15, 22, and gaining all the Truthâs last, as completing these will grant you level bonuses that are more useful when youâre getting closer to reaching level 46.
And of course, there are a number of miscellaneous trophies to unlock as well, which you should also be going after during your playthroughs. Check out the Stories The Path of Destinies trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details on these.
Once youâve uncovered all 25 story endings and unlocked the Bookworm trophy, itâs a matter of mopping up whatever you may still need at this point for the Platinum. Again, check out the Stories The Path of Destinies trophy guide links to see what trophies youâre missing and their requirements.
