Lord of the Rings: Conquest

Based on the "Lord of the Rings" films/book, and with similar gameplay to the "Star Wars: Battlefront" series - of which was created by the same developer, Lord of the Rings: Conquest is an action third-person battle in which the player takes control of one of four classes of characters, fighting in wars both inspired by the story as well as alternate battles.

Ratings have been exceptionally mixed, ranging from 4 to 87 out of ten, with an average of 55%, criticized for its poor graphics, redundancy of gameplay and serious connection problems with the online servers.

The game was released in January of 2009. Only 14 months later, Electronic Arts decided to shut down the online servers. There are 48 trophies in total, and 12 are online. But without the EA servers, those 12 trophies cannot be acquired, which means the Platinum for this game is no longer obtainable.

If you just wish to add trophies to your overall count, the offline challenges are not particularly difficult. But you'll NEVER see 100% completion on your stats.

Most of the offline trophies are story-based, which require a set number of objectives to move onto the next level. Other trophies include scoring combos, headshot kills, and killing a set number of enemies without losing a life, many of which will naturally be acquired without much effort during the course of the game.

The 12 online trophies cannot be acquired since EA shutdown the servers in March of 2010.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Trophy Guide

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  Majority of the Trophies aren’t too difficult, though a few frustrating ones push this difficulty rating up. There are also 4 online co-op Trophies to unlock.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames is a third-person action adventure, and a sequel to the 2005 Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction released on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Set in an open-world, players have the freedom to focus on the story or branch off to take on other assignments. The game includes both single-player and cooperative multiplayer.

Taking place in a fictionalized version of Venezuela, the country has fallen into a war zone after a ruling tyrant caused an invasion due to alterations in the oil supply. The player-character is a mercenary who fulfills contracts while playing by their own rules, and regards this chaotic war zone as a financial opportunity.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames received mainly positive reviews with an average score of 72%, praised for its environments and overall destructive fun, though criticized for its glitches, unintelligent AI, and lack of polish.

This is a low 3-star rating. The majority of the trophies are not very difficult, with the exception of a few that are frustrating enough to push this rating from a 2 to a 3-star. There are 6 online trophies, though only 4 of them actually require you doing something online. These can be cone legitimately, though are much easier and quicker if boosted.

Overall, expect roughly 25-35 hours, depending on your skills as well as finding a good co-op partner for the online mode.

As long as you're careful and do a little preparation beforehand, all the campaign-related trophies can be unlocked in one playthrough.

You'll first want to obtain the Ride The Dragon trophy in the beginning, otherwise it becomes missable. This involves hijacking the tank that attacks you after entering the villa, rather than destroying it.

In order to unlock everything in one go, you'll need to alternate between working on the campaign, and performing side missions. This is because some side missions won't become available until you've finished parts of the campaign, though some side missions may become difficult or even missable if you've gone to far in the campaign. This includes capturing all the outposts in a single faction for the Pipeline trophy, unlocking all the shop items for the Digital Man trophy, unlocking all the landing zones for the We'll Burn The Sky trophy, and capturing all the high value targets for the Aces High trophy. Be sure to check out the Mercenaries 2: World in Flames trophy guide links under our Links tab for specifics on these trophies. All other trophies are safe to unlock at any point in the game.

Once you've mopped-up all the offline stuff, it's time to head online. Here, you'll need to join a co-op game for the Partners In Crime trophy, come in first in a co-op race for the Wheels Of Steel trophy, use 20 airstrikes in co-op for the Damage Inc trophy, and destroy 200 objects from the gunner seat in co-op for the Nothin' But A Good Time trophy. Saboteur Trophy Guide

Saboteur Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  Not a particularly difficult Platinum, but rather time consuming. Expect roughly 40 hours of gameplay.

Saboteur

Saboteur is a third-person open-world action adventure set in German-occupied France during World War II. Players explore both Paris and some of the French countryside while seeking out Mission and Side-Mission quests in both areas that are heavily controlled by the Nazis and other where the French Resistance have a strong influence.

Sean Devlin, an Irish racecar mechanic, seeks revenge against a Nazi colonel after his best friend is murdered, while aiding both the French Resistance and a British SOE agent.

Saboteur received mainly positive reviews with an average score of 74%, praised for its neo-noir visuals, sound, and overall fun, though criticized for its story, enemy AI, and technical glitches.

This is a low 3-star rating, as the trophies in The Saboteur are not particularly difficult, just time consuming. In an open-world, it will take roughly 12 hours to get through the main story. On top of that there are side-missions, boosting all your perks, and getting over a thousand ambient freeplay events completed. Also, there are 4 missable trophies to be aware of.

Expect roughly 40 hours of gameplay for the Platinum trophy.

Since the game is open-world, you're free to go about in any direction towards the Platinum trophy as you please. However, be aware of the four missable trophies: Solid Gold trophy for collecting all ten gold parks, which can be missed if you don't get your five stealth-kill generals before they're gone, No Witnesses and Master Of Disguise trophies for completing a mission while in disguise and not raising any alarms, and the Trick Or Treat trophy for stealth-killing a general while disguised. As long as you get these out of the way, you should be fine.

If you're in need of some direction, we recommend going through the Story Missions first, which are represented by the gold lettered icons. At any time you can take a break if you wish and do something else, or just complete the entire main game. As long as you are wary of the four missable trophies, the choice is yours.

At some point you'll also need to do the Liberation Missions, which are marked by the grey lettered icons.

Then there are the Ambient Freeplay events, which you'll need to complete 99% of the over 1,330 events. Expect this to take up the bulk of your time.

Then there is upgrading all 10 perks, with your ultimate goal of unlocking the Solid Gold trophy. Be sure to check out the Saboteur trophy guide links under our Links tab if you're struggling with this.

Lastly, simply mop-up anything you may still be missing.
