One Piece: Pirate Warriors

One Piece: Pirate Warriors, or One Piece: Kaizoku Musou in Japanese, is a third-person action game in the style of the Dynasty Warriors series, and based on the One Piece manga and anime series by Eiichiro Oda. The main character is Monkey D. Luffy, who possesses the properties of rubber after accidentally eating the Gum-Gum Fruit, puts together a crew of pirates called the Straw Hats, and heads off in search of treasure.

The game was released in Japan in March of 2012, where it received high scores averaging 88% and was a financial success. It hit the stores in North America and Europe six months later, with lower sales and averaging scores of only 62%, criticized for its monotonous gameplay.

A fairly average game in terms of difficulty, which requires one full playthrough on any mode, then a whole lot of grinding afterwards. Like any Japanese "musou" game, the point is to battle hoards of enemies at once. Having skills can help, but is not incredibly necessary.

We do have one trophy which is "technically" online: We're Running Away, We Stole Some Gold!, which requires you to unlock all skills. While most of these skills can be acquired through offline grinding, you WILL need to play online with 3 friends to unlock the three friends coins. However, since this is the main reason why anyone may be playing this game online, hopefully you shouldn't have too much trouble sending out and accepting friend requests. Or, check out the boosting forum under our Links tab.

NOTE: This game is region-locked online. Which means if, for example, you're playing the North American version, than you can only play online with those who possess the same North American region game.

Since there are no trophies related to playing on different difficulty settings, you may as well go ahead and select the easiest mode.

Start by playing the Main Log. At this point, you can simply play from beginning to end and collect the story-related trophies. Though it's a good idea to focus on the Quick Time Event Boss trophies to avoid having to replay the levels. Once the Main Log is completed, you'll have unlocked all the episodes for Another Log.

Next, head into Another Log and focus on completing each of the episodes with their specific characters. The number of characters for each ranges depending on the episode. Check out the One Piece Pirate Warriors trophy guide links under our Links tab for further details.

The last step will be grinding for coins to unlock all the remaining skills, for the We're Running Away! We Stole some Gold! trophy. At this point, you'll want to start making friends online to collect the three friends coins. Either start sending out friend requests, or head into the forum provided under our Links tab.
