Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir
Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir is an action J-RPG originally released as Odin Sphere in 2007 on the PlayStation 2, and revamped with trophy support as Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir in 2016 for the PS3, PS4, and PS Vita. The game is a 2D side-scroller with a beat em up fighting style. Players control five different characters where they must defeat all enemies before moving onto the next area. Character's abilities and damage is dependent on their Psyphers, which in turn can be upgraded.
Set in the fictional continent of Erion which is separated into several different nations. Valentine was the most powerful of these nations, due to the magical properties of the Crystallization Cauldron. After it was destroyed, a war has broken out over the master-less Cauldron.
The original Odin Sphere received positive reviews with an average score of 84%, praised for its graphics, controls, engaging story, and overall gameplay and fun.
Since the game can be played on Easy mode, Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir isn't particularly difficult. The only reason for the 2-star rating is for the time required, as there are several collectibles to find and some grinding to do. There are no missable trophies to worry about, so players can complete the story and do mopping-up afterwards. Overall, an easy Platinum that just takes time.
Expect around 30-35 hours for the Platinum.
NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 share the same list with those on the PS3 and PS Vita.
It should be noted that you have the option of playing on either Refined or Classic mode. Classic mode will NOT unlock trophies, so select Refined if you're after that Platinum. Also, since there are no difficult-related trophies, feel free to play on Easiest mode setting.
There are no missable trophies, so feel free to simply play through the game from start to finish, where you'll be unlocking a number of story-related trophies naturally. Along the way, you can be on the lookout for Recipes for the All Dishes Conquered trophy, and secret Phozon prisms for the All Ice-Sphere Skills Acquired trophy. Once you've reached the end of the story, attempt to get the Normal Ending in order to unlock the One Who Inherits Life trophy.
After all that, it's time to get the other endings. First, play the book of Armageddon for a second time but choose differently to see the other scenes, to get the Blessing trophy. Also, after reaching the Fin screen post-credits, wait for moment and you will receive a secret scene, as well as the Curtain Call trophy.
With those done, it's now a matter of mopping-up the miscellaneous trophies. This will probably include completing the boss run for the Road Of Erion trophy, getting a character up to Level 65 for the All Abilities Acquired trophy, and a few others.
