Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite is a 2D fighting game and the sixth main entry in the Marvel vs. Capcom series. Similar to previous games, players can select from a roster consisting of both Marvel and Capcom universe characters, and compete in tag-team battles. In Infinite, players can select one of the six Infinity Stones which grant a special ability. The game includes a roster of 30 playable characters, as well as both offline and online multiplayer.

Using the Space and Reality Stones, Ultron and Sigma fuse together to become ‘Ultron Sigma,” and unleash a virus to wipe out all biological life. Thanos reveals the location of the other Infinity Stones to a group of heroes, who set off to find them in an attempt to stop Ultron Sigma’s plan.

Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite received mainly positive reviews with an average score of 74%, praised for its incorporation of the Infinity Stones, gameplay mechanics, and its new tag-team system, though criticized by some for its presentation and character design.

The 4-star difficulty is mainly due to the online trophies. You will need to get a 5-game win streak in a Ranked match, as well as reach the 10th Rank online which means having to win the vast majority of matches. However, if boosting the online trophies, the difficulty can be brought down to a high 2-star difficulty.

Expect around 50-60 hours for the Platinum if boosting, and over 100 if doing legitimately, depending on your fighting skills.

Like most fighting games, there are no missable trophies, and you can start wherever you like.

If you’re in need of some direction, we recommend beginning with the Story mode. Doing so will not only help get you used to the mechanics of the game, but also unlock the four story-related trophies. If you’re having trouble, press Triangle to reduce the difficulty level.

Next, there’s Mission mode. If you already have experience with the Marvel vs. Capcom titles, then you’ll find Infinite’s Mission mode easier in comparison. You don’t need to complete all the missions. Only all the missions for 5 characters, and then complete a total of 100 missions, in order to unlock the four Mission mode related trophies.

After that, there’s Arcade mode, which requires completing a run for every character. Since you can play two characters at once, you only need to run through Arcade mode a total of 15 times. Feel free to play on Very Easy mode if you prefer, as there are no difficulty-specific trophies. You will also need to battle on all the different stages, in order to unlock the Passport To Beatdown Country trophy.

Finally, simply mop-up any outstanding offline trophies you still need. Be sure to check out the Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you’re missing and their requirements.

At any time, you can hop online and start working on those trophies, as well. Your ultimate goal is to play 100 online games for the Invincible trophy. Along the way however, you will need to get a 5-game win streak for the Indestructible trophy, win 30 battles for the King Of The Hill trophy, and reach 10th Rank for the Power Made Flesh trophy, which is arguable the most difficult trophy in the list as you will need to win far more battles than lose to increase your rank.

If you prefer to boost the online trophies, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab.
