Happy Belated Halloween! Yesterday was a time of ghosts and goblins, and Sony is adding aliens to that blend of spooky horror. And so, here is the next PlayStation Plus free games November 2023 line-up which will be available for download on Tuesday, November 7.
First, there is Aliens: Fireteam Elite, the third-person shooter developed by Cold Iron Studios and released two years ago, based on the Alien film series. The game takes place 23 years after the events of the original Alien trilogy, where players select from seven different character classes and board a spaceship of Marines, off to investigate a distress call.
Next, there is Dragon Ball: The Breakers, released in 2022 by Namco Bandai, based on the hit manga/anime Dragon Ball series. Unlike other Dragon Ball titles, Dragon Ball: The Breakers plays more as an action-survival, where players must outsmart the Raider and each other to become the last person standing.
Lastly, there is Mafia 2: Definitive Edition, a remaster of the original Mafia II first released in 2010 developed by 2K Czech. The Mafia 2: Definitive Edition by Hangar 13, is a visual upgrade which also includes the three DLC stories and four packs of bonus content.
All three PlayStation Plus free games November 2023 titles have Platinum trophies to unlock. Also, only Aliens: Fireteam Elite is available for both the PS4 and PS5, while Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Dragon Ball: The Breakers is only for the PS4.
Among these, Mafia II: Definitive Edition arguably has the easiest Platinum. Although players will need to complete the story on Hard difficulty, the challenge is overall not too bad – especially for players who had already played the original Mafia II on the PS3. Expect around 25 hours of gameplay for the Platinum.
Getting the Platinum on Dragon Ball: The Breakers can be quite challenging without a group of boosting partners, but much easier if you have friends to help you out. Either way, you can still expect 60-70 hours of gameplay for this one.
Obtaining the Platinum trophy for Aliens: Fireteam Elite is both extremely challenging, and will take well over 100 hours of gameplay. Not only does it require multiple playthroughs and time to max out equipment and obtain all the kill-related trophies, but clearing the game on both Extreme and Insane difficulty is what blocks many players from earning this Platinum.
