Lord of the Rings: Aragorn’s Quest
Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is a third-person action adventure game based on Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings film trilogy. The game is divided into two sections: playing as Aragorn during the War of the Ring, and playing as Sam's son Frodo in the Shire. The game is also compatible with the PlayStation Move controller. Both Viggo Mortensen and Sean Austin lend their voice talents for their respective characters.
Taking place fifteen years following the events of the Lord of the Rings films, Aragorn, King of Gondor, is making his way to visit the Shire. Sam is now Mayor of the Shire, and while his son Frodo is working hard to prepare for Aragorn's arrival, Sam tells him the story of Aragorn's adventure during the War of the Ring.
Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 60%, praised by some for being a fun gaming adventure, though criticized by others for its repetitive gameplay and for being a seemingly rushed port of the Wii version.
Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest is aimed at younger players, and therefore not particularly difficult. While there are a few challenges that may be a little frustrating at times, most of the gameplay time involves completing quests and finding collectibles. Nothing any average gamer can't handle.
Without experiencing any glitches, expect roughly 18 hours for the Platinum.
NOTE: A second controller is required for a few trophies.
Start by simply going through the game. During your playthrough, we recommend completing all the side-quests for each level. Be wary of The Key To The Shire trophy, as it's possible to miss some of the Shire side-quests if you don't return there between chapters and complete them. Completing all the side-quests will unlock the Meanderer trophy. Check out the Quest Guides under our Links tab to help you.
After that, it's time to find all those collectibles. This includes all the Fellowship tokens for The Fellowship trophy, all the lore items for the Expert In Lore trophy, and all the upgrades for the Accomplished trophy. Check out the Links tab for guides to help you with this.
Finally, it's time to mop-up anything you may still be missing. This most likely will include the Middle-Earth Annihilation trophy for defeating 2,500 enemies, to which we recommend grinding in the Black Gate chapter where there are plenty of enemies and unlimited arrows. Check out the Lord of the Rings Aragorns Quest trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you're still missing and their requirements.
