PlayStation Plus Free Games August 2022

Having a hard time adjusting to the summer heat? Maybe you’re better off staying in a nice air-conditioned room, while playing some free games. So, here is the next line-up of PlayStation Plus free games August 2022 available for download on Tuesday, August 2.

First, for both the PS4 and PS5, there’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon. Released in 2020, the game is the 8th in the Yakuza series, though is unique in that it plays as a turn-based RPG, and introduces the new character Ichiban Kasuga who had been betrayed and incarcerated for 18 years.

Also, for both the PS4 and PS5, is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2. First released in 2020, the game is a combined remaster of the first two skateboarding games in the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series nearly 20 years ago.

Lastly, for the PS4, there’s the platforming puzzle horror, Little Nightmares. First released five years ago, the story follows a girl named Six who must escape from the maw which is home to horrible creatures.

Among the PlayStation Plus free games August 2022, only Little Nightmares does not have a Platinum trophy to unlock.

The Platinum for Yakuza: Like a Dragon is the easier of the two, being a turn-based RPG. However, there is a lot of grinding involved, so be prepared to spend around 80 hours of gameplay.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 can be quite challenging for anyone new to the series, but of average difficulty for those who are familiar with the series. Either way, the Platinum for this game will also require some grinding and around 70-90 hours of gameplay, depending on your skills.

Unlocking 100% of the trophies for Little Nightmares is not particularly difficult if you are following a guide, and can be achieved in under five hours.

Bandai Namco Teases Future of Little Nightmares

The puzzle-platformer horror Little Nightmares, released last month by indie developer Tarsier Studios and publisher Bandai Namco, has been met with positive reception. To celebrate this achievement, Bandai Namco released an accolades trailer – which seems to hint that there’s more to come.

“Be patient and watch it till the very end,” stated Bandai Namco in a press release. “To get a clue about the future of LITTLE NIGHTMARES…Who’s that boy?”

At the end of the accolades trailer, a boy leaps out from a window just before the clip ends. Since the game itself is rather short, and is perhaps too new for a sequel, many speculate the trailer’s ending is leading to some upcoming DLC.

We’ll update this article as more information is revealed, including the possibility of more Trophies being added with any upcoming DLC.

Little Nightmares is a puzzle-platformer horror that was released on April 28, 2017. At the moment, the game holds 13 Trophies, which include 10 Bronze, 2 Silver, and 1 Gold. the game is not too difficult to complete and requires less than 10 hours to unlock 100% of the Trophies.
