Killing Floor 2

Killing Floor 2 is a first-person shooter and a sequel to the 2009 Killing Floor released on the PC. The game can be played either solo or cooperatively with up to 6 players online, as they fight through waves of zombie-like creatures, before facing a randomly determined boss.

The game takes place a month following the events of the 2009 Killing Floor, where the bio-technology firm Horzine has released a deadly outbreak that created the Zeds. Now the outbreak is spreading beyond the European borders, resulting in a collapse of government and communication systems.

Killing Floor 2 received positive reviews with an average score of 77%, praised for its multiplayer and overall fun, though criticized for its lack of campaign and content.

Getting the Platinum in Killing Floor 2 requires both a lot of grinding, and some above-average skills. There are a number of challenging trophies, such as Quick On The Trigger for killing a certain boss before it has time to heal, and beating a survival match on the game's hardest difficulty setting. A glitch which made this easy has been patched as of July 2017.

Expect roughly 45 hours of gameplay for the Platinum, though this largely depends on your skills, as well as luck in getting partnered with a good team.

Since Killing Floor 2 doesn't have a campaign, you can start wherever you like. We recommend beginning with learning the mechanics of the game, and doing this by going after all the collectible-related trophies. A good method would be to kill all the enemies on the first wave of each level, but leave one alive - preferably a Bloat because they are slow - to allow yourself the chance to find all 10 collectibles on each level.

Also, if you like, you can use this opportunity to unlock some of the miscellaneous trophies. Check out the Killing Floor 2 trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details.

After that, it's time to work on the harder stuff. During this process, select a perk that you like, and work towards getting it to level 25 for the Mr Perky 25 trophy. We recommend waiting until you've reached level 25 before embarking on winning a match on Suicidal Difficulty and Hell on Earth Difficulty for the Suicidal and Hell On Earth trophies.

If you're looking for a good team to form, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab. The stronger your team, and the more you communicate with each other to coordinate the gameplay, the better your chances.

Good luck!

PlayStation Plus Free Games for June 2017

And once again, we have the next line-up of PlayStation Plus Free Games for June 2017, available for download on Tuesday, June 6.

For the PlayStation 4, there’s Killing Floor 2, a first-person shooter and sequel to the 2009 PC title, where players fight off waves of flesh-eating zombies in either single-player or co-op. And Life is Strange, an episodic adventure similar in style to the Telltale point-and-click titles, involving a high school girl with the ability to rewind time in an attempt to stop a murder.

On the PlayStation 3, there’s Abyss Odyssey, a platforming adventure where players battle enemies while making their way to the warlock who has been affecting reality by his dreams. And WRC 5, a racing game based on the 2015 World Rally Championship, with a variety of racing environments from tarmac to ice, with timed-trial races in both single-player and online.

And for the PlayStation Vita, there’s Neon Chrome, a top-down cyberpunk shooter with RPG elements, where players fight their way on a quest to defeat the Overseer. And Spy Chameleon, a top-down puzzle game with stealth elements, where players hide by altering the character’s color to match the background. Both Neon Chrome and Spy Chameleon are cross-plat with the PS4.

Among the PlayStation Plus Free Games for June 2017, Killing Floor 2, Life is Strange, WRC 5, and Spy Chameleon all have Platinum trophies to unlock. Among them, Life is Strange is by far the easiest if following a guide, requiring less than 15 hours. WRC 5 is also not particularly difficult, though does hold a few online trophies and requires roughly 20 hours of gameplay. Also, Abyss Odyssey is not a difficult game to acquire 100% of the trophies in under 10 hours.
