James Bond 007: Blood Stone

James Bond 007: Blood Stone is a third-person action title, and the 24th game in the James Bond series. While the character's likeness is based on actor Daniel Craig's version of James Bond, the game is an original story rather than a film adaptation.

Taking place after the events of Quantum of Solace, Bond is sent to investigate and stop Greco, an international terrorist who plans to attack the G-20 Summit in Athens. The mission soon turns to a second, which takes Bond to several locations including Istanbul, Siberia, and Bangkok as he investigates the case of a missing professor once believed to be dead.

James Bond 007: Blood Stone received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 65%, criticized for being an all-round average and mediocre game with no distinct positive or negative qualities.

Considered perhaps the most difficult Platinum of all the James Bond related games, the 4-star rating is mainly due to the ridiculous amount of time and effort required in the online portion of the game. With a boosting partner, this difficulty rating could be brought down to a low 3-star, though will still take a lot of time to complete.

Aside from the 10 online trophies, the game requires two playthroughs, plus some mopping-up via chapter select. Some of the offline trophies can be rather tricky as well, such as completing the game on 007 Difficulty mode, and the Speed Run trophy which involves a car chase.

Without a boosting partner, expect well over a hundred hours on this one. With a boosting partner, perhaps around 50-60 hours.

You'll first need to play and complete the game on any difficulty mode, in order to unlock 007 Difficulty. This is your chance to find all the Intelligence collectibles, as well as focus on some of the kill-related and other miscellaneous trophies. If you miss anything, don't fret.

Now that you've unlocked 007 Difficulty, you can go ahead and start your second playthrough. Again, you can earn any other miscellaneous trophies you missed on your first round if you wish, or wait for the next stage in your hunt for the Platinum. But be warned, 007 Difficulty is no cake-walk.

After that, you can take advantage of the Chapter Select and mop-up any of the offline trophies you still need. Check out the James Bond 007 Blood Stone trophy guide links under our Links tab for specific details on what you need.

Last, are the 10 online trophies. And this is where the real grind comes in. The Special Commendation trophy will take you the longest, earning medals which require you to kill 200 enemies with a grenade launcher, or play a total of 500 matches. A boosting partner will certainly cut down your time, but will still require an ample amount of effort.

Quantum of Solace Trophy Guide

Quantum of Solace Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A first-person shooter based on both James Bond films, Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace. The offline trophies are of average difficulty, but the 19 online trophies are challenging without boosting.

Quantum of Solace

The game is a first-person shooter, based on both films Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace. If you've seen the movies, then you pretty much know the storyline. Bond has kidnapped Mr. White, a member of the secret Quantum organization. After a quick interrogation, White escapes, and Bond teams up with environmentalist Dominic Greene to spy on and foil White's plans. The story flashes back and forth between events in Casino Royal and Quantum of Solace.

the game received an average score rating of 67%, with most online magazines agreeing that the game is fairly decent for one based on a film, but is simply "okay" when compared to other original first-person shooters.

The offline trophies aren't too difficult, but the game includes 19 online trophies. On your own, and considering how few people are now playing this title, we've given Quantum of Solace a 3-star rating. However, if you manage to find yourself a boosting partner, the rating could be eased down to 2-stars.

If you're in a rush for the platinum, select 007 mode (which is the most difficult) and play through beginning to end. It's certainly possible to collect all the offline trophies in one go, but there are specific challenges you'll need to do on each level, as well as find certain collectibles. Check out the Quantum of Solace trophy guide links under our Links tab to make sure you don't miss anything. But if you do, don't fret! There is a chapter select available.

The online trophies will require more time and effort - particularly the For England, James? trophy, which requires you earn over 100,000 credits. Simply work your way towards it by concentrating on the other trophies - see the trophy guides in the Links page for extra assistance.

The only problem with this game, is that it's old. Rarely will you find anyone online anymore - which means a boosting partner is almost a must. Either ask a friend to rent the game, or put out an SOS on a forum.
