Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers

Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers is a flight combat simulator, and a sequel to the original 2006 Air Conflicts. The game is set during World War II featuring the conflict between the US and Japanese forces, taking place in such events as Pearl Harbour, the Battle of Midway, and Wake Island. The game also includes competitive online multiplayer with up to eight players.

Lucas Stark is a patriotic admiral in the US Navy fighting for the ideals of is country, all the while the war begins to get to him. Meanwhile, Hideaki Hashimoto is an admiral fighting to bring honor to his emperor and country, as well as himself.

Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers received lukewarm reviews with an average score of 64%, praised for its graphics, realism, multiplayer feature, and overall fun gameplay, though criticized for its repetitiveness, soundtrack, controls, and technical issues.

The offline trophies are of average difficulty, and not particularly time consuming. The reason for the 3-star difficulty lies in the six online trophies. With boosting partners, the overall difficulty could be brought down to a 2-star. However, if you are going for the online trophies legitimately, a few will require some good skills, such as coming in first place in a 6-player match. Also, given the age and lack of popularity of the game, finding players may be a challenge in itself.

Expect under 20 hours for the Platinum if boosting, and more if you are going for the online trophies legitimately.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 share the same list with those on the PS3.

You’ll need to play through each of the two campaigns. One on the American side to ultimately unlock the American Campaign trophy, and the Japanese side for the Japanese Campaign trophy.

There are a few miscellaneous trophies you can collect along the way, so check out the Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers trophy guide links under our Links tab for more details. However, there is a mission select afterwards if you happen to miss anything.

Pay special attention to the Torpedo Wizard trophy, which is missable. The trophy requires you to hit a manoeuvring ship with a torpedo, which is best doen during the Dangerous Cruisers mission on the American campaign.

Once you’ve completed the two campaigns, use the mission select to mop up any missing offline trophies. Again, check out the Air Conflicts: Pacific Carriers trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you’re still missing and their requirements.

After that, it’s time to head online to get those last six online trophies. Some of the more notable ones include winning five multiplayer matches with the IJN team for the IJN Officer trophy, and winning five multiplayer matches with the USN team for the USN Officer trophy, as well as being placed in first in a multiplayer match with at least six players, for the Cracking Good Show trophy. If you’re looking for boosting partners, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab.

Air Conflicts Vietnam Trophy Guide PS4

Air Conflicts Vietnam Trophy Guide. Difficulty: ***  A flight simulator where players engage in air-to-air and air-to-land combat in attack jets and helicopters during the Vietnam War. While the offline trophies are quick and easy, the online trophies are difficult to unlock without boosting.

Air Conflicts: Vietnam

Air Conflicts: Vietnam is a flight simulation and part of the Air Conflicts series. Taking place during the Vietnam War, in which players fly several different attack planes and helicopters and fulfill missions which can involve clearing the sky of enemies, attacking ground targets, rescuing soldiers, escorting bombers to their targets, and delivering support troops. The game also includes online multiplayer with up to six players.

Set in 1965, Joe Thompson is a young US Air Force pilot who is sent to fight against North Vietnamese fighter squadrons.

Air Conflicts: Vietnam received poor reviews with an average score of 44%, praised for some of its graphics and attention to the aircraft's detail, though criticized for clumsy controls, repetitive gameplay, and technical issues.

The game is actually rather short and easy. However, there are five online trophies to unlock, which can be difficult without a boosting partner, not only because they can be challenging in themselves, but the online servers are rather dead. In particular, you'll need five other players for the Cracking Good Show trophy, which requires you to be placed in first. Yet, if you manage to find enough boosting partners to cover the online trophies, then the difficulty for this Platinum can be dropped to a low 2-star.

Expect only around 8-10 hours for the offline trophies, and however long it takes to achieve the online, depending on whether or not you find some boosting partners, or even any online players in general.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

Before starting, it should be noted that if you wish to make things quicker and easier on yourself, you can head into Options and select Easy mode, as there are no difficulty-related trophies. Also, if you change Sidewinder Accuracy to 100%, your missiles will always hit their targets.

There are no missable trophies, as you will have access to a chapter select upon completing the game. So for the most part, simply play through the missions and unlock all the story-related trophies.

During this step, you can also rescue an MIA pilot for the Team Mate trophy, find the crashed A6M Zero during the Vietnamization campaign in the Operation Babylift mission for the A6M Zero Warrior trophy, and find the crashed F4U Corsair in the Escalation of the Conflict campaign in the Operation Igloo White mission for the F4U Corsair Warrior trophy.

After you've completed your playthrough, use the chapter select to mop up any missing offline trophies. Be sure to check out the Air Conflicts Vietnam trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

At any time, you can hop into multiplayer to work on those five online trophies. These include coming in first place in a 6-player match for the Cracking Good Show and Good Show trophies, shooting down 30 players for the Dogfight Ace trophy, getting 3 kills in a row for the Multiplayer Ace, and completing 15 multiplayer matches for the Multiplayer Veteran trophy. The hardest part with getting these trophies is finding online players, particularly enough for the God Show and Cracking Good Show trophies, which require 6. If you prefer boosting these, or simply want to find more players, check out the Boosting Forums under our Links tab.
