Fuel
Fuel is an open world racing game, set in a post-apocalyptic world after the ravages of global warming.
Players can freely drive across the map, experiencing such varying weather conditions as tornadoes and sandstorms, participating in challenges and collecting fuel - the world's currency - in order to participate in races. Characters and vehicles can be customized. The game also features competitive multiplayer of up to 16 players, and a co-operative mode supporting up to 4 players.
Fuel received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 59%, criticized for poor AI in the NPC's and awkward racing mechanics.
Fuel includes three online trophies. Unfortunately, after the closure of GameSpy following the Ziff Davis acquisition of IGN Entertainment, the online servers to the game were closed on July 16, 2014. As a result, the three online trophies - and therefore the Platinum trophy - have since become Not Obtainable.
Since the online servers for Fuel were closed on July 16, 2014, the game's three online trophies - and therefore the Platinum trophy - are now Not Obtainable. However, the game still contains 31 offline trophies, so if you're still interested, then read on.
Since this is an open world game, there's no real roadmap required. However, if you're in need of some direction, you'll basically want to start unlocking camps. Do this by completing the career races in each region on Legend, to gather stars. Then, hit the unlocked Doppler truck to reveal the zones Vista points, and the Livery and Challenge locations. Essentially, and to save confusion, you'll want to completely finish a zone before moving on to the next one.
You can use the Race Editor tab to save on driving time. Simply create a short race, and select a road near the Vista or Livery location you wish to collect as your start checkpoint. Once saved, hit Try Race, and you will be automatically sent to your destination Then just quit the race.
There are several other random trophies to collect after you've completed all the challenges and career races, such as driving from one side of the map to the other twice, and collecting oil drums. Check out the Fuel trophy guide links under our Links tab for whatever you're missing to mop-up the offline trophies.
Unfortunately with the online servers closed, this is as far as we can go.
