Mindjack

Mindjack is a third-person action shooter that incorporates a cover system in a futuristic setting. Aside from battling enemies with standard weapons, players can control weakened enemies and civilians through mind hacking. Online co-op allows players to hack into AI enemies during the story's gameplay.

Agent Jim Corbijn is sent to district 7 to investigate the reports of a shooting, along with human rights activist Rebecca Weiss. After being attacked by government agents, Jim begins searching for the truth behind the rumors of one Project Mindjack.

Mindjack received mainly poor reviews, with an average score of 49%. Though praised for its unique gameplay, many critics panned it for its poor presentation, visuals, and controls.

While there may be a few tricky parts in the campaign, the offline trophies are generally straight forward and a level select makes mopping-up that much easier. However, there are 15 online trophies which, particularly given the age and poor reception of the game, can be quite challenging and time consuming to unlock, hence the 3-star rating. Though with a boosting partner, the difficulty for the platinum could be brought down to a 2-star.

If boosting, expect roughly 20-25 hours for the Platinum, and a lot more if going for the online trophies legitimately.

The first thing you'll want to do is simply play through the game. Since there's a level select, you needn't worry about any missable trophies. However, it would save a bit of time by performing comos whenever possible, and getting headshots to work towards those trophies, as well as building up your XP. Also, it's a good idea to play WITH hackers, in order to work towards those related trophies, as well.

Once you've finished the game, you can start on the online trophies by visiting the Hack Portal in the Main Menu. The most time consuming will be having 100 hackers hack into your game for the Star trophy. You will also need to win 50 times as a blue hacker, and 50 times as a red hacker. Once all the online trophies are covered, it's simply a matter of mopping-up whatever you're still missing. Go through the Mindjack trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you need and how to do it. You may want to save the Guru trophy for last, which involves getting enough XP to reach Level 50. This is quicker to achieve if you have online people to battle against, or for performing head shots.

No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise

No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise, known in Japanese as No More Heroes: Eiyutachi no Rakuten, is a hack-and-slash action game, and an advanced port from the 2007 Wii version, titled No More Heroes. The player-character wanders through an open-world, progressing through the story while performing part-time job side quests in order to earn money for purchasing weapons, training sessions, and outfits. The game also supports the PlayStation Move controller.

Travis Touchdown is an otaku - geek - living in the fictional Santa Destroy, who meets a mysterious woman in a bar. She offers him an assassination job, but in order to climb the ranks, he must defeat the ten other assassins.

No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise received mainly positive reviews with an average score of 76%, praised for its updated visuals compared to the Wii version, as well as its combat, though criticized by some for tedious elements such as the mini-games.

The game requires three playthroughs, one of which on its hardest difficulty mode, with some collectibles to find, getting S Rank on boss battles, and a few other in-game challenges. While No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise is not exactly a cakewalk, particularly some boss battles on the harder difficulty mode, it's nothing any average gamer can't handle.

Expect roughly 28-35 hours for the platinum, depending on your skills.

NOTE: The trophies and their requirements are slightly different on the Japanese version than the overseas version.

When first starting the game, your only options are playing on either Sweet or Mild difficulty mode. At this point, it doesn't matter which you select. During your first playthrough, you can focus on finding all the cards - particularly the five cards in each boss stage. Also, be sure to pick up the wrestling masks you'll find near the save points before the ranked fights, which will not only enable you a new wrestling move, but work towards the Travis! Your Throws Are The Best trophy. You'll find these masks at the boss stages for Rank 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 4, and 2. Then, once you've become Rank 1, do NOT watch the ending. Instead, return to Santa Destroy and collect all the Lokilov balls, complete the side-jobs, the assassination jobs, and the free fights. After this is done, you should be able to purchase all the katanas, which will allow you to watch the Real Ending.

After completing your first playthrough, you will have unlocked both Bitter and Very Sweet modes. Start up a New Game+ on Bitter, which is the hardest difficulty mode in the game. For the most part, just focus on getting through the game and unlocking the Sweeter Than You Thought? Just Like Sylvia trophy. But also, make sure to collect the new cards that will have spawned in the boss stages.

With that done, it's time for our third playthrough, this time on Very Sweet. This is the easiest mode in the game, and our objective is to get an S Rank on each of the boss stages, for The S Stands For Sylvia. Did You Know That? trophy. Once you've become Rank 1, again, do NOT watch the ending. Instead, use this opportunity to mop-up any trophies you may still be missing at this point.

Finally, there should only be the Did You Find Someone Stronger Than You? trophy remaining. Head into Extras and select Score Attack, where you'll need to fight each of the bosses in the game.
