This is a low 2-star rating, as Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune is not particularly difficult, only time consuming. Players can mostly select either Easy or Medium modes on the mini-games, and avoid Hard mode, while working towards achieving S+ ranks at the end, and earning money to purchase swimsuits along the way. Nearly all the other trophies will unlock naturally during this course. The rest is mainly grinding.

Expect roughly 40-55 hours of gameplay for the platinum.

NOTE: The Japanese version contains NO English, and is a difficult game to platinum if you cannot understand the Japanese language on at least a beginner level. However, the Asian version includes English support.

You'll basically want to start by selecting one of the nine female characters and start playing through the game. It doesn't matter which order you complete the game with which woman. Your main task is to achieve an S+ rank by the end of the fourteen-day holiday, by completing her 7 missions and getting her enjoyment level up.

Complete each side quest as they appear. Eventually, the side quest will state, for example, "Mission: 1/7," which is one of the main missions required for the S+ rank. Side-missions, however, can be cancelled at the Pool Side, though be warned this will lower the woman's enjoyment rank, so only do so if you're sure the side-mission cannot be achieved. Also, always have some gifts the women enjoy on hand in your Owner's Mode inventory, which you can present each evening at the hotel to boost her enjoyment level. Finally, Rock Climbing and Volleyball are the two best activities for increasing the woman's enjoyment level, so if you're not occupied with a main mission or side-mission, play one of those two games.

If you haven't cleared all 7 main missions by the end of the game, your progress will carry over into your next playthrough. So, if you only cleared 4/7 main missions, your second playthrough will start with main mission #5. The woman's enjoyment level, however, will return back to zero.

Once you've gotten the trophy for achieving the woman's S+ rank, it's time to grind for money, in order to buy 20 swimsuits. These can either be purchased by the character herself, or given as a gift. But they must be 20 "unique" swimsuits for the trophy.

Just rinse and repeat this process with each of the nine female characters, and you'll be well on your way to the platinum. Nearly all the other trophies will unlock naturally through this process.

The only trophies which you'll need to go out of your way for, are Let's Play Together where you'll need to befriend and pair-up with another woman 10 times, Makeover for changing a girl's hairstyle, Bringing Back Memories for playing the Event Paradise which is unlocked at Level 30, Paradise Forever for playing the Pictorial Paradise unlocked at Level 50, and possibly The Gambler for earning 10,000 Zack Dollars at the Casino.
