Battle Fantasia

Battle Fantasia is a 2-D fighting game in the tradition of Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat, with a very anime-style graphics. First introduced to Japanese arcades in 2007, it was later ported to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in the following year.

The game is set in a fantasy world, with 12 characters to choose from, including an airship pirate named Freed and a bunny rabbit named Watson. Like following a storybook, the game includes a storyline and subplot for each of the characters.

The game received relatively positive reviews, with an average score of 71%. Battle Fantasia was meant to be a more simplistic fighting game, and less daunting than Street Fighter or Tekken - which some critics found to be a flaw.

If you've played other fighting games like Street Fighter IV, then you'll have an idea of this game's level difficulty.

There are a lot of random trophies you can easily acquire in just a few hours, but the two most difficult - You Want Me To WHAT? which requires perfect timing, and International Ninja which requires winning 60 ranked matches - brings this game up to a 4-star rating.

Before we begin, first thing's first: go into Options and select the auto-save. For whatever reason, it's set to Off as the default - which could cause some serious problems if you switch off your PS3 and forget to save!

There's a lot to do here, and no real need for a roadmap. But if you're desperate for some direction, we recommend starting with the Story mode - playing through with each of the characters. This will serve as a good introductory to the game, and get a feel for which characters you'll stick with.

Next, you can head over to Arcade mode and start collecting trophies there. Afterwards, you've got Time Attack and Survival mode trophies to acquire. By now you should have a pretty decent feel for the game, and are ready to move on to the online stuff.

The Player Match trophies can be boosted, of course. Check out the forum we've posted in our Links page. But the Ranked Match trophies are going to require some real skill. However, considering the age and unpopularity of the game, you may be lucky enough to be matched with a boosting partner.

Afterwards, it's just a matter of cleaning up whatever you're missing. This may or may not include the You Want Me To Do WHAT? trophy, which many consider the most difficult to obtain in the game.

Good luck!
