Batman: Arkham Knight

Batman: Arkham Knight is a third-person action adventure based on the Batman character from DC Comics. The game is the fourth installment in the Batman: Arkham series, following the 2013 Batman: Arkham Origins. As in previous games, Batman can roam the environment of Gotham City freely, complete side missions in addition to the main story, while using melee combat, gadgets, and stealth to take down or sneak past enemies. Players can also use the Batmobile as transportation and combat.

Batman is on a mission to stop Scarecrow from releasing a deadly toxin on Gotham City. Though his mission will force Batman to confront his own nightmares.

Batman: Arkham Knight received positive reviews with an average score of 87%, praised for its graphics and presentation, voice acting, the open world environment and all its details, though was criticized by some for the implementation of the Batmobile’s Battle Mode and some elements of storytelling.

This is a high 2-star difficulty, only for the time required. Two playthroughs are required, one to unlock Knightmare difficulty, and another to play and clear Knightmare. This can be done in a New Game+ which means you’ll retain all your upgrades for the more difficult mode. Like other Batman games, there are a number of collectibles to find, and other miscellaneous trophies. There are no missable trophies to worry about.

If following a guide for the collectibles, expect around 50-60 hours, depending on skills.

You’ll need to do two playthroughs for the Platinum.

Start by either selecting Easy if you want a nice casual run through the game, or Normal to better prepare you for the harder mode later. There are no missable trophies to worry about, so simply play through from start to finish, and enjoy the game. You will unlock a number of story-related trophies along the way, and perhaps some miscellaneous ones.

Once you finished the story, you will be in Free Roam. Here is where you’ll want to mop up all the miscellaneous trophies that aren’t related to the AR Challenges, or for completing the game on Knightmare difficulty. This includes all the side missions, the Most Wanted missions, and collectibles. Check out the Batman Arkham Knight trophy guide links under our Links tab for specific details.

Next, are the AR Challenges. If you’ve played other games in the series, then you should have a good idea of what’s involved. Most of them are quite doable with practice. However, the Brutality 101 trophy, for performing 15 different combat moves in one FreeFlow, can be quite frustrating. Check out some of the videos under our Links tab, and just keep trying.

Finally, it’s time for the Knightmare difficulty run. Start a New Game+ so you will be able to carry over all your upgrades. If you’ve managed to get through all the AR Challenges, then clearing the game on Knightmare mode shouldn’t prove too difficult.

Clearing Knightmare mode will unlock The Long Halloween trophy. And if you’ve followed everything else in this roadmap, the Platinum as well.
