Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD

Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD is a slight revamp of Assassin's Creed III: Liberation released on the PlayStation Vita, and a continuation of the Assassin's Creed series, loosely connected to AC III. The game is a third-person open world historical action adventure, with sci-fi elements. Unlike the Vita version, Liberation HD does not include multiplayer.

Taking place in 1765 at the end of the French and Indian War, in which New Orleans is taken over by the Spanish, the game follows the story of female assassin Aveline de Grandpre who is on a trail to discover the disappearance of slaves and the poor in the city, while uncovering an ancient artifact hidden in Mexico. Aveline is able to switch between three guises, each with with own unique benefits.

The PlayStation Vita version, Assassin's Creed III: Liberation, received lukewarm reviews, with an average score of 69%, praised for its interesting characters and rich setting, but criticized for having a seemingly aimless plot.

Certainly one of the easiest Platinums in the Assassin's Creed series since II, with no online trophies to worry about. Going through the story should only take around 10 hours, plus another 5 to 10 mopping-up in the free roam portion of the game.

This is a high 1-star rating, with some of the 100% sync challenges being a bit frustrating, but still a relatively quick and painless platinum.

If you've played Assassin's Creed III: Liberation on the PlayStation Vita, then you'll notice a few subtle changes in Liberation HD on the PlayStation 3. Aside from the absence of the online trophies, some of the Sequence completion trophies have been combined, while Climber, Charming, Disguised, Tree Ninja, What Is She Doing, Notorious, and Deadly Haystack trophies have been removed, making the PS3 version significantly easier and faster to complete. You'll also notice some of the objectives for 100% sync have been changed, as well as the way in which some of these objectives are done.

With that aside however, your first step is to simply play the story from beginning to end. There are no missable trophies to worry about. Along the way however, aim to fulfill all the objectives to save yourself trouble later on, to work towards a 100% sync completion.

After that, you'll enter the free roam. Here, you'll be replaying any missions to get the 100%, and mopping-up the last bunch of trophies. On top of a few miscellaneous challenge-related trophies, there are several collectibles to find. Just use the trophy guides and collectibles guides in our Links tab to find these.

Assassin’s Creed III

Assassin's Creed III is a third-person action adventure with stealth elements, is the fifth installment in the Assassin's Creed series, and a direct sequel to Revelations. The story flashes between events in the 21st Century and 18th Century colonial America, and introduces a new fictional historical character.

Following the events of Revelations, Desmond Miles and his friends travel to the Grand Temple of "Those Who Came Before," an ancient race of beings who were responsible for creating humankind, but were wiped off the face of the Earth in a global calamity. A key is required to activate the temple and stop the re-occurrence of a global disaster, and to find it, Desmond must use the Animus to explore the memories of another ancestor, the half-English, half-Mohawk man named Ratonhnhake:tone, also known as Connor, who is mixed up with the Templar order after they attacked his Native American village.

Like its predecessors, Assassin's Creed III received very positive reviews, with an average score of 90% for its incredible visuals and great story, though is not perfect due to complaints of some game glitches.

If you've played any previous Assassin's Creed titles, in comparison to difficulty we could say that AC3 is not as challenging and time consuming as Brotherhood, but some of the offline trophies make this game more difficult than Revelations and of course AC2. While the game still possesses the free roaming option after completing the story, the Perfectionist trophy, which requires completing 100% of each mission can be challenging since you will need to replay the entire mission again should you fail. There are 6 online trophies to acquire as well, though are not any more difficult than those in Revelations.

If you've played the previous Assassin's Creed titles, then you know the drill. Simply load up the game and play from beginning to end, without worry of any missable trophies. Along the way, you may wish to attempt getting 100% completion on the missions, just to make your life easier when you mop-up later.

Once you've finished the story, you are free to roam and gather any missed offline trophies. Each mission is not too long, though most of them contain bonus objectives which require finishing in order to get 100% completion, and these can be tricky at times. If you miss one, you'll need to restart the mission - hence the 3-star difficulty rating for this game.

Once you've collected the offline trophies, there are still 6 online ones to earn. You won't need to redeem a pass to get on the multiplayer. For the most part, you'll be focusing on reaching Level 20 for the Abstergo Entertainment trophy, while completing certain objectives for the remaining five. Check out the trophy guide in our Links page for specific details of each trophy.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations

Revelations is the fourth game in the Assassin's Creed series, and a direct sequel to Brotherhood, completing the Ezio trilogy. It is a third-person action adventure with stealth elements, and features all three of the major characters in the story - Desmond Miles, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, and Altair ibn-La"Ahad - and features a multiplayer mode.

After the events of Brotherhood, Desmond Miles has fallen into a coma due to the stress of being forced to kill Lucy Stillman. He is transported to New York and placed into the Animus by Rebecca Crane and Desmond's father. After awakening on Animus Island, Desmond meets the consciousness of Subject Sixteen, who guides him in reliving his ancestor's memories in an attempt to separate him from Ezio and thereby awaken from his coma.

Like Assassin's Creed games in the past, Revelations received very positive reviews, with an average score of 82%, and has been named by some critics as the best in the series thus far.

If you've played previous AC games, we can compare Revelations by saying that it's certainly easier to platinum than Brotherhood, though a tad more time consuming than Assassin's Creed II. Like Brotherhood, Revelations possesses some online trophies, though are much easier to obtain.

Note: An online pass is required, which comes with your game. If you purchases Assassin's Creed: Revelations used, than you must either make do with a free 3-day trial or purchase the pass.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS3 version have a separate list than those on the PS4.

The Platinum can be obtained in three steps: playthrough, mop-up, multiplayer.

Like the previous Assassin's Creed games, there are no missable trophies. So you can enjoy playing through from beginning to end, collecting any trophies you like. Once the story is finished, you are free to roam about, where you can mop-up anything you've missed.

Afterwards, there are the multiplayer trophies. As we mentioned earlier, you will need a Uplay pass to play online. If you've purchased Revelations as a new game, than the code for multiplayer comes free. If you've bought your copy used, than you must either collect all the online trophies during the free 3-day trial (which is very possible) or pay to get online. The online trophies are easier than in Brotherhood, hence the 2-star rating. Focus on playing one match for each mode, then simply collect the other trophies as you make your way towards level 20. See the trophy guides in our Links page for specific details.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate

Assassin's Creed Syndicate is a third-person action adventure and the ninth major installment in the Assassin's Creed series, following Assassin's Creed Unity. The story is set in 19th Century London during the end of the Industrial Revolution. Unlike previous titles in the series, players switch between the two main protagonists during and outside the game's story.

The Helix player, currently working as an Assassin Initiate, relives the memories of twin Assassin's Jacob and Evie Frye, in search of a Piece of Eden hidden somewhere in London. In 1868, London has fallen under the control of Templar Grand Master Crawford Starrick, who threatens to use his power in the city's industry and criminal underworld to takeover all of England - unless Jacob and Evie Frye can stop him.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate received positive reviews with an average score of 78%, praised for its environments and city design, interesting characters, and story, though both praised and criticized for its new combat and grappling hook system.

Syndicate is roughly on par with Assassin's Creed II, in terms of difficulty and time. There are no online trophies to worry about, and no missable ones, either. Simply play through the game, then enter free-roam and unlock whatever you are missing. Nothing any average gamer can't handle.

Expect roughly 25-30 hours of gameplay for the Platinum trophy.

If you've played previous Assassin's Creed titles, then you should know the roadmap by now. Syndicate is no different, except without the online trophies.

Start things by simply playing through the game, from beginning to end. During this time, you can either work on unlocking a few miscellaneous trophies, or simply wait until the free-roam. At the very least, we recommend trying to achieve 100% synchronization whenever possible, simply to make things easier later when going for the Mentor trophy, as well as synchronize all the viewpoints in London for the Chimney Sweep trophy. Also, if you encounter a random Crowd Event, go ahead and complete it. You will eventually need twenty in order to unlock the Ordinary Criminal trophy. Otherwise, simply enjoy the game and its story.

Once the story is complete and you enter free-roam, you can now go ahead and mop-up all the remaining trophies. This may include getting 100 synchronization, finding all the collectibles in the form of Pressed Flowers, Historical Posters, and Royal Letters, and any others you still need. be sure to check out the Assassin's Creed Syndicate trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

Enjoy!

Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood

While not the official Assassin's Creed 3, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is the third installment in the series, and a direct sequel to Assassin's Creed II, continuing the story of Ezio Auditore de Firenze and Desmond Miles.

The game, like its predecessors, is an action-adventure with sandbox playstyle and stealth elements, and is the first in the series to possess a multiplayer feature.

After escaping the Templar's attack, Desmond hides out in the ruins of the Villa Auditore, along with Lucy, Rebecca and Shaun. There, he again takes control of Ezio Auditore using the Animus 2.0 and his genetic memory, in order to locate an artifact known as the Apple of Eden, believed to stop the impending disaster orchestrated by the Templars.

The game received high praise by all critics across the board, with an average score of 88%, won best Action Adventure game in the 2010 Spike TV Video Game Awards, and nominated for 7 British Academy Video Game Awards in 2011.

This platinum is as difficult as Assassin's Creed II, but with added online trophies which can take up to 40 or 50 hours - hence the extra star on our difficulty rating. However, if you find yourself a boosting partner, many of these online trophies can easily be collected, reducing our rating to a high 2-star.

NOTE: The Trophies on the PS3 have a separate list than those on the PS4.

Like Assassin's Creed II, you can - for the most part - simply play the game from beginning to end without much worry. There are, however, 2 missable trophies: Mailer Daemon (involving accessing your e-mail in 2012) and Dust To Dust (finding the artifact in 2012). Both of these trophies can be obtained after Sequence 2, but MUST be collected BEFORE Sequence 8. Once those two are out of the way, simply continue playing without any worry towards the end.

After the game is complete, you can now mop-up all remaining offline trophies. Check out the trophy guides in our Links page for further details on these, as well as locations of collectibles.

Last, are the online trophies. Without a boosting partner, these can take quite a bit of your time - especially the Download Complete, which requires you to reach level 50. Expect to be playing anywhere between 35 to 50 hours, depending on your skills. However, with a boosting partner, you can cut this down to only 8 to 15 hours. Check out the Forum in our Links page to find a boosting partner, if you don't want to do this on your own.
