Arcade Game Series: Galaga

Arcade Game Series: Galaga is a revamp of the classic 1981 Galaga arcade game by Namco Bandai. The game is one of the original shoot em ups in which players control a starship at the bottom of the screen which can move side to side and fire. Enemy aliens first arrive in formation before dropping bombs or attempting to collide into the player. The revamped version also includes a stage select, as well as extra lives.

The original 1981 Galaga was one of the most commercially and critically successful games in its time, for its fast-paced shooting action and charm, with over a dozen sequels developed over the years.

This is a high one-star rating, as some of the trophies can be rather tricky; especially for those who have never played Galaga before. However, a save exploit allows you to try over and over for whichever trophy you are going for.

If using the save exploit, the Platinum can be earned in just a few hours, depending on your skills.

Before beginning, it would be incredibly beneficial to learn of the Save Exploit which will make your hunt for the Platinum trophy much easier. At any point in the game, you can Save & Quit, which will then return you to the Menu screen. From here, close the game and backup your save either to the PS+ Cloud or on a USB HD. This way, you can simply reload your save when you need to try again at whatever trophy you are working on, such as the Stage Perfect trophies.

With that now known, it's time to play. First, simply play through until you reach Stage 31, which will automatically unlock nine trophies along the way. If you wish to make things easier, go into game settings and select 5 extra lives, as well as enable stage select.

With that done, it's time to go after the seven Stage Perfect trophies, which require you to obtain a Perfect Bonus on Challenge Levels from 11 to 31. Here is where the save exploit will really come in handy.

Finally, simply mop-up the last few remaining trophies, and enjoy your new Platinum. Be sure to check out the Arcade Game Series Galaga trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you're missing and their requirements.
