Amplitude

Amplitude is a music rhythm game originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2003, and revamped with trophy support for the PS3 and PS4 in 2016. Players control a ship, known as a Beat Blaster, which soars down a path that includes six tracks, each representing a musical instrument. Players must hit buttons which correspond to different notes, activating portions of the track in order to capture it. Missing notes empties the energy meter, which can result in a game over. The revamped version includes a total of 30 songs, which range from electronic and dance, to alternative rock and hip hop.

The original Amplitude received positive reviews with an average score of 83%, praised for its music, visuals, challenge, and overall fun.

This is a high 3-star rating, as some trophies can be quite difficult. For players with zero experience in rhythm games, this may even be a 4-star. Particularly, the Fluid Intelligence trophy requires completing a 15-song campaign on Expert difficulty without any fails, retries, or quitting. Also, the Closure trophy requires completing all songs on Super difficulty, which is the hardest mode in the game - and some of these songs require hours and hours of practice.

While the Platinum can technically be earned in around 20 hours for the vastly experienced, average players may need close to 80 hours with all the practice involved.

NOTE: A second controller is required for a few trophies.

ALSO NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 share the same list with those on the PS3.

If this is your first time, you will want to play through the campaign on one of the easier modes. The campaign is divided into three regions, with five songs each, for a total of 15 songs. Also, there is one Bonus Songs in each region, which is available after managing to get 10 Score Bars for that region. However, if you are playing on an easier mode, you won't need to worry about the Bonus Songs for now. Just get used to the game and its mechanics.

Eventually, or if you already have experience from playing the PS2 version, you'll want to play through the campaign on Expert difficulty, where you will need to unlock the Bonus Songs. Aside from unlocking more trophies, you will also unlock Super Difficulty mode.

From here on out, you can work on whichever trophies you like. The two most difficult will be completing each song on Super difficulty for the Closure trophy, and completing a 15-song campaign on Expert difficulty without failing, retrying, or quitting for the Fluid Intelligence trophy.

However, there are other miscellaneous trophies to work on in the meantime while you build up your skills. Be sure to check out the Amplitude trophy guide links under the Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

There are also 3 multiplayer trophies, which require a second controller. This includes the Aggressive Tendencies trophy for clearing two consecutive sequences against an opponent using eject, disrupt, or cleanse, the Imperturbable trophy keeping a streak and earning over 100 points through disrupt, and the Group Therapy trophy for scoring over 4000 on a song as a team. Obviously, these are easier to do with two people, if you have a friend to invite over, particularly the Imperturbable trophy.

Good luck!

Sword Art Online Lost Song Trophy Guide

Sword Art Online Lost Song Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  An action J-RPG and third installment in the Sword Art Online series, based on the light novels of the same name. The Platinum is easy but will require a fair bit of time.

Sword Art Online: Lost Song ** 43 Artdink Japan 23 18 1 0 0

Sword Art Online: Last Song

Sword Art Online: Lost Song is an action J-RPG, the third game in the series following Hollow Fragment, and based on the Sword Art Online light novel series by Reki Kawahara, though on an alternate timeline which doesn't follow the light novel's storyline. Unlike previous games in the series, Lost Song includes a stronger action aspect to the gameplay, and allows players to use up to 17 playable characters, with an additional two as DLC, or create their own character. Player-characters can use up to three types of weapons, and attack in parties of three. Online multiplayer is available for up to 16 players.

Following the events of Hollow Fragment, Kirito decides to set off on another adventure. Joined by his friends, he uncovers a dark truth involving the fan club members at a concert.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment received mixed reviews with an average score of 64%, praised for its combat system and lighthearted fun, criticized by some for its repetitive gameplay and uninspired level design.

This is a high 2-star difficulty rating, only for the time required. The Platinum is significantly easier than its predecessor, with an Easy mode available, no online trophies, and nothing missable. Just be prepared to put some time into this one.

Expect around 40-50 hours for the Platinum, depending on whether you rush or take your time. NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 share the same list with those on the PS3 and PS Vita.

The game is set on Normal mode by default, but if you wish to take a quicker and easier road to the Platinum, head into the Main Menu and select Easy mode.

There are no missable trophies, so for the most part you can just play through and complete the main story. To save grinding later however, you may wish to work on the character side stories for the A Deeper Bond trophies, and festival events for the Ki-bo's A Playah trophy.

You'll also want to perform thorough explorations of dungeons you come across to find and open treasure chests, where you can find weapons and accessories to work towards the Weapon Collector and Accessory Collector trophies.

Finally, the Swordmaster and Spellmaster trophies are quite a grind, so you'll want to start on those soon by sticking with one Sword Skill and Spell during your playthrough.

Once that's done, it's time to mop up those miscellaneous trophies that aren't grind related. This means trophies related to completing side quests, as well as obtaining Excalibur for the Sword Of Kings trophy.

Lastly, it's time to grind for the remaining trophies. Be sure to check out the Sword Art Online Lost Song trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

South Park The Stick of Truth Trophy Guide

South Park: The Stick of Truth ** 51 Obsidian Entertainment U.S. 42 5 3 0 0

South Park: The Stick of Truth

South Park: The Stick of Truth is an RPG based on the South Park adult animated series. The game is played in a 2.5D third-person perspective, with graphics that simulate the TV series, and uses the same voice actors including Trey Parker and Matt Stone, who were also involved in the game's development.

The player-character is the New Kid who has just moved into South Park, who allies himself with Butters, Princess Kenny, and Cartman, who are competing against Stan, Jimmy, and High Jew Elf Kyle, for the all-powerful Stick of Truth.

South Park: The Stick of Truth received positive reviews with an average score of 86%, praised for its detail, humor, and faithfulness to the TV show, though criticized by some for its shallowness to players unfamiliar with the South Park series.

Since South Park: The Stick of Truth is a straight-up RPG, the game only requires a bit of strategy, though is overall quite easy. What does make this Platinum a little challenging, however, are all the missable trophies, of which there are 21. If you plan ahead, make multiple saves, and follow some of the guides under our Links tab, the Platinum can be unlocked in one playthrough.

Expect a little over 15 hours for the Platinum if following a guide, and more if you end up doing an extra playthrough.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

If you plan to get the Platinum in one playthrough, which of course is the fastest method, then you'll need to get familiar with the trophies. There are 21 missable trophies in total. Some of these are event-specific, such as being bitten 3 times by gingers for the Gingivitis trophy, or defeating the Boss Hall Monitor while wearing freckles for the Day Walker trophy. Others require collectibles such as opening all the garages for the Parkeologist trophy, and finding all the Chinpokomon for the Chinpokolypse trophy. Then there are some trophies which require collective events, such as interrupting 5 channel attacks by using a fart for the Re-Buttal trophy, and farting on four major authority figures for the Truth To Power trophy.

As a result, you'll need to know where these collectibles are, when to perform the event-related trophies, etc, if you plan to get these missable trophies on your first playthrough. So check out and get familiar with the South Park The Stick of Truth trophy guide links under our Links tab, and check out the Missable Collectibles guide by Warbear we've posted.

Also, you'll need to complete the game without selling any items for the For The Hoarder trophy, and never have your buddy knocked out throughout the game for the No Child Left Behind trophy. So be sure to make multiple saves you can reload in case a mistake is made.

Finally, it's worth mentioning that the Are We Cool? trophy requires you to play the Jew class when looking for Jesus in the church. However, since this event is early in the game, it's easy to go back and start a new playthrough for this one, if you don't wish to play the Jew class.

Game Name Difficulty Trophies Developer Country Bronze Silver Gold Online DLC
Wolfenstein: The New Order ** 51 MachineGames Sweden 34 15 1 0 0

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Wolfenstein: The New Order is a first-person shooter, and the seventh main entry in the Wolfenstein series which began on the PC in 1981, and is a sequel to the 2009 Wolfenstein. Players use an assortment of firearms and explosives, as well as melee attacks against enemies, while navigating through levels which can occupy either shootouts or using stealth.

Set in an alternate 1960's after the Nazis have won WWII by using advanced technologies, American war hero B.J. Blazkowicz is on a mission to launch a counter-offensive against his nemesis, General Wilhelm Deathshead Strasse.

Wolfenstein: The New Order received mostly positive reviews with an average score of 80%, praised for its combat mechanics, story, characters, and an overall improvement over the previous installment, through criticized by some for a few old-school aspects and empty environments.

This is a low 2-star rating, as the Platinum does require a bit of skill. At least one full playthrough is required, and if using an exploit, the final chapter to be completed on Uber difficulty. There are several collectibles to find, and some miscellaneous trophies to unlock. A chapter select means no trophies are missable.

If performing only one playthrough, expect about 20-24 hours, depending on your FPS skills.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 version have a separate list from those on the PS3.

At least one playthrough on Uber difficulty is required for the Uber Hero trophy, which is available to play from the start. The difficulty on Uber is not as high compared with other games, and so we recommend performing your playthrough on that.

There is an exploit, however, if you so choose. You can play on Easy and complete the game, then load up the last chapter and select Uber difficulty, which will unlock Uber Hero after the credits, as well as the other difficulty-related trophies. If you choose to take this step, be reminded that the final chapter on Uber may seem quite difficult since you'll have lacked the experience playing through the game on only Easy. The choice is yours.

During your playthrough, you may want to save some grinding later by finding all the collectibles. Be sure to check out the collectibles guides under our Links tab. There are also a number of challenges you can complete, which will not only unlock their corresponding trophies, but some perks which will assist with your gameplay. For more information, check out the Wolfenstein The New Order trophy guide links under our Links page. However, if you choose to simply play through the game and worry about the other trophies later, that's fine. There is a chapter select available, so nothing is missable.

Once you've gotten your Uber Hero trophy, it's time to use the chapter select to mop-up any trophies you're missing. Again, check out the Wolfenstein The New Order trophy guides under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

Watch Dogs Trophy Guide

Watch Dogs Trophy Guide. Difficulty: **  A third-person action-adventure set in an open-world where players use a smartphone for hacking as a weapon. The Platinum is of average difficulty, with a bit of time and some grinding required.

Game Name Difficulty Trophies Developer Country Bronze Silver Gold Online DLC
Watch Dogs ** 40 Ubisoft Montreal Canada 18 19 2 5 10

Watch Dogs

Watch Dogs is a third-person action-adventure set in an open world. Players control a hacker who utilizes a smartphone to control aspects of the environment, such as traffic lights and trains, as well as access people's personal information and access security systems. The game also includes online co-op and competitive play.

Taking place in a fictional version of Chicago, Aiden Pearce is a hacker whose criminal past resulted in the death of his niece. Now, he's using his hacking skills to track down and seek revenge for those responsible.

Watch Dogs received positive reviews with an average score of 81%, praised for the visuals and detailed environment, stealth aspects, and overall fun, though criticized by some for its shallow story and lack of sympathy towards the main character.

The game is fairly average in terms of difficulty, though a bit time consuming. One full playthrough is required, with a fair bit of miscellaneous trophies to mop-up afterwards. While a few of the online trophies can be boosted, it's not entirely necessary. Overall, the Platinum difficulty is on par with most titles in the Assassin's Creed series, though with far less online grinding.

Expect roughly 40-50 hours of gameplay for the Platinum.

NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 have a separate list from those on the PS3.

The first thing to do is simply play through the story from beginning to end. While working through the 39 missions, we recommend keeping the online invasions turned on, so as to work towards the Traced trophy for being tailed five times. Once you obtain this trophy, feel free to switch it off.

Also, you can work towards finding songs for the Disc Space Full trophy, check in at all the hotspot locations you come across, and profile and hack as many citizens as you can. While there are no missable trophies in the game, doing this during your playthrough will simply save some grinding later on.

Once you've finished the story, it's time to finish up all those other trophies waiting to be unlocked. You can check your progress via the smartphone, where you can see you'll need to complete the side missions, the investigations, the online contracts, and the collectibles. There are also a few other miscellaneous trophies to unlock, so be sure to check out the Watch Dogs trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.

Finally, there are five online trophies to obtain. If you've left the online invasions turned on this whole time, then hopefully you'll have already unlocked the Traced trophy by now. However, there is also invading and observing 10 enemy Fixers in online tailing for both the Stealth Cookie and Piggyback trophy, completing 10 public online races for the Superhighway trophy, and invade and hack 10 enemy Fixers for the Hackification trophy. If you're looking for some assistance, check out the boosting forums under our Links tab.
