Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales

Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales is a 2020 action-adventure developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, and based on the Marvel Comics character Miles Morales. The game is both a spin-off, and continuation, of the 2018 Marvel’s Spider-Man, and is the second installment in Insomniac’s Spider-Man series. In third-person, players control Miles by swinging through the open world of a fictional Manhattan, uses various combos to take down enemies, and learns new powers while progressing through the story.

After a year of training by Peter Parker, Miles Morales is informed that Peter will be leaving Manhattan for a few weeks, leaving the city under his care. During this time, a criminal group called the Underground, have been arming themselves with hi-tech weaponry and taking on energy corporation Roxxon, leaving much collateral damage in the wake of their battle. Miles must learn the identity of the Underground and stop them before their actions destroy the city.

Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales received positive reviews with an average score of 85%, praised for its graphics, combat, story, characters, and overall improvements from the 2018 Marvel’s Spider-Man.

Aside from a few challenges, the game is easier than average as it can be played on Easy mode. The platinum also requires two playthroughs, the second on NG+, in order to mop up three outstanding trophies. There are no missable trophies to worry about, and while there are collectibles to find, these are recorded in game and can easily be found on the in-game map. Overall, the platinum is a low 2-star difficulty in terms of both challenge and gameplay.

Expect around 16-20 hours of gameplay for the platinum.

NOTE: The PS5 has a separate trophy list from those on the PS4.

ALSO NOTE: If the platinum is obtained on the PS4 version, the saved game can then be uploaded to the PS5 version, allowing all the trophies to auto pop. However, this will not work in reverse.

Before we begin, if you have already obtained the platinum on the PS4 version, you can upload your save to the PS5 version and all the trophies, including the platinum, will automatically unlock. This trophy auto-pop will not work backwards, however.

There are no difficulty-related trophies, so feel free to start your game on Easy mode.

The first step is to simply play through the story, as there are no missable trophies to worry about. Feel free to find collectibles if you wish, or wait until later. The choice is yours. Not all collectibles will be available until post-game and New Game+ anyway.

Once you’ve completed the story, you are free to roam the city. Now is your chance to find all the collectibles (the world map has a checklist of how much you have completed in a percentage in each district, as well as remaining activities to be completed). Be sure to check out the Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales trophy guide links under our Links tab for details on the miscellaneous trophies. After completing this step, the only trophies still outstanding aside from the platinum are the Plus Plus trophy for completing New Game+, the Just The Beginning trophy for unlocking all the skills, and the Ready For Anything trophy for purchasing all the suits, which will be done in NG+.

Next, it’s time to load up New Game+. By replaying through the story, this will also be your chance to collect the Like A Rhino In A China Shop and Competitive Spirit trophies if you missed these on your first playthrough. You’ll be able to skip cutscenes if you are in a rush to complete this second playthrough.
