Sword Art Online: Last Song
Sword Art Online: Lost Song is an action J-RPG, the third game in the series following Hollow Fragment, and based on the Sword Art Online light novel series by Reki Kawahara, though on an alternate timeline which doesn't follow the light novel's storyline. Unlike previous games in the series, Lost Song includes a stronger action aspect to the gameplay, and allows players to use up to 17 playable characters, with an additional two as DLC, or create their own character. Player-characters can use up to three types of weapons, and attack in parties of three. Online multiplayer is available for up to 16 players.
Following the events of Hollow Fragment, Kirito decides to set off on another adventure. Joined by his friends, he uncovers a dark truth involving the fan club members at a concert.
Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment received mixed reviews with an average score of 64%, praised for its combat system and lighthearted fun, criticized by some for its repetitive gameplay and uninspired level design.
This is a high 2-star difficulty rating, only for the time required. The Platinum is significantly easier than its predecessor, with an Easy mode available, no online trophies, and nothing missable. Just be prepared to put some time into this one.
Expect around 40-50 hours for the Platinum, depending on whether you rush or take your time. NOTE: The trophies on the PS4 share the same list with those on the PS3 and PS Vita.
The game is set on Normal mode by default, but if you wish to take a quicker and easier road to the Platinum, head into the Main Menu and select Easy mode.
There are no missable trophies, so for the most part you can just play through and complete the main story. To save grinding later however, you may wish to work on the character side stories for the A Deeper Bond trophies, and festival events for the Ki-bo's A Playah trophy.
You'll also want to perform thorough explorations of dungeons you come across to find and open treasure chests, where you can find weapons and accessories to work towards the Weapon Collector and Accessory Collector trophies.
Finally, the Swordmaster and Spellmaster trophies are quite a grind, so you'll want to start on those soon by sticking with one Sword Skill and Spell during your playthrough.
Once that's done, it's time to mop up those miscellaneous trophies that aren't grind related. This means trophies related to completing side quests, as well as obtaining Excalibur for the Sword Of Kings trophy.
Lastly, it's time to grind for the remaining trophies. Be sure to check out the Sword Art Online Lost Song trophy guide links under our Links tab to see what you still need and their requirements.
