The PlayStation 3 version also includes a built-in FIFA Interactive World Cup, which allows players to track their progress. The game also features online multiplayer, of which the servers were shut down on February 8th 2011.
FIFA 09 received quite positive reviews, with an average score of 85%, praised for its authenticity, improved AI, and fantastic graphics.
FIFA 09 was released in October of 2008. On February 8th 2011, EA decided to shut down their servers. The game includes 9 online trophies, which are now no longer available to unlock. As a result, the Platinum for FIFA 09 is now Not Obtainable.
With the servers down, this Platinum is Not Obtainable. However, if you still wish to collect those 38 offline trophies, then read on.
You'll want to start by heading into and completing Career Mode. There are a number of trophies specific to this mode, so be sure to check out the FIFA 09 trophy guide links under our Links tab. Depending on a combination of your skill, strategy and luck, you may need at least half an extra playthrough of a second season.
When those have all been collected, you can start into the Be A Pro Mode and begin unlocking those related trophies. Again, please check out the trophy guides under our Links tab for specific details.
The last few offline trophies which aren't connected to these two previous modes can be unlocked by simply setting up your own matches. As the difficulty doesn't matter, you can do these on easy mode.
