Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood
Bound in Blood is a prequel to the 2007 game Call of Juarez, released on PC and Xbox 360. It is a first-person western shooter taking place in the 19th century, just after the American Civil War.
Ray and Thomas McCall are brothers fighting on the side of the Confederacy. They abandon their post in order to stop Union soldiers from destroying their home, only to find themselves too late. Taking their younger brother William along for the ride, they journey to Mexico to find the fabled Lost Treasure of Cortez - hoping to use the gold to rebuild their home.
Overall, the offline trophies aren't too difficult. At least two full playthroughs (each about 8-10 hours) are required to collect them all. Several trophies you can obtain during your first playthrough without much effort. Others will require you to successfully complete a certain challenge at a particular moment in the game. Though there are multiple saves, you can reload the previous checkpoint if you fail the challenge.
There are online trophies as well. However, these are not impossible as say, Resistance 2 or Warhawk. Many simply require you to play a full online game *about 10-20 minutes) on each map, play with every possible character, unlock all characters, etc. which can be done with time and a little dedication.
The most time consuming trophy, however, is Goldrush! which is obtained by collecting $1,000,000. Though you do acquire some cash during an offline playthrough, you collect much more playing online. Either way, this will take some time.
NOTE: Many have complained of a glitch, in which the Save gets corrupted, forcing people to start over from scratch. The save file cannot be saved onto a portable HD, only online by being a PlayStation Plus member.
After playing through the game once (we recommend first on Easy, since it will unlock Very Hard afterwards) and getting a feel for the game play, it may be wise to head straight into multiplayer. At the time of this guide being written (Summer 2011) Bound in Blood is already getting on in years, has a sequel on the way, and currently have only a few online players. We recommend getting the online trophies quickly, before there's no one else to play with, and the server is pulled. When that happens, we will change the Platinum difficulty from 3-stars to N/O, or Not Obtainable.
The story is linear and simple to play through, which means a walkthrough is not necessary. However, there are "secrets" which you will need to collect to get the Gotta Catch'em All trophy. We, or course, have provided links for this.
When playing online, start with the Wild West Legends games - make sure they're "ranked"and you play both the regular and revenge modes. Play until you've collected the Welcome to the Frontier, Crime Does Pay, Tin Star, and Been There Done that trophies. Then switch to Manhunt or Posse, and start collecting cash in order to unlock the other trophies.
By far, the most helpful Trophy Guide was created by Northelimcg. He includes videos for the most difficult challenges, and a list of all the secret's locations, made by hma95. This will probably be the only link you really need to complete the game:
