de Blob 2 is a puzzle platformer, and a sequel to the 2008 Wii exclusive de Blob. Players control a Blob character who can blend colors and paint objects in order to unlock new areas, while switching between 3D and 2D perspectives, depending on the location.
Comrade Black is back, and this time his cult of Inkies are wreaking havoc on the city, while the INKT Corproration has drained all the colur from the city and turned the people into drones. Blob and the members of the Color Underground must free the city, returning back its color by restoring each land one by one.
de Blob 2 received high praise, with an average score of 81% for its quality in presentation, vibrant colors and overall fun gameplay.
This is a very low 2-star rating. The game itself is not particularly difficult, but a little time consuming, and get get tedious having to follow collectible guides during hour-long levels. At least one full playthrough is required, with a lot of mopping-up afterwards.
Expect to spend around 30 hours of gameplay.
NOTE: A second controller is needed for one trophy.
There are a number of paths you can take towards getting that Platinum. What we found the easiest to do is begin your game on Easy and go through each level while following one of the collectible guides under our Links tab, and using the lightbulbs to completely upgrade Blob and Pinky along the way, for the Maximum Blob trophy - which of course will also make your gameplay even easier. Also, you'll need to get an S-class for each level. Make sure you've found all the collectibles and have gotten the S-class before moving on to the next level. Hopefully, by the time you finish the game, you should have everything except for Keepin' It Real, and Medal Of Color. Select a new game on Normal, and simply make your way from objective to objective in each level, without upgrading.
