Avatar: The Game
James Camerons' Avatar: The Game is a third-person action title based on the 2009 film. The game uses the same stereoscopic 3D technology as the movie, and includes much of the original cast including Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Michelle Rodriguez.
Taking place two years before the events of the film, Able Ryder is a new signals specialist assigned to Pandora who, after a series of missions, finds himself caught between an RDA strike and helping the Na'vi.
James Cameron's Avatar: The Game received very mixed reviews, with an average score of 61%, praised for its visuals and 3D effect, but criticized for its controls and linear gameplay.
Avatar: The Game includes 8 online trophies. Unfortunately, the servers were closed on August 8, 2014. As a result, these 8 online trophies - and therefore the Platinum trophy - has become Not Obtainable.
Since the online servers for Avatar: The Game have closed on August 8, 2014, the eight online trophies, as well as the Platinum, have since become Not Obtainable. However, the game still includes 31 offline trophies. So if you're interested, then read on.
Start on the storyline. Once you've completed the beginning of the game, you'll be given the option of selecting either the RDA or Na'vi route. Since you'll eventually need to do both, it doesn't matter which you choose. Just make sure you stick with it up until the end, as you'll be given another choice later on. The important thing is to complete all the Sector Challenges for both sides. If you complete the game without getting 100%, you missed your chance and will need to start over.
Once you've finished one side, you can restart from the earlier save point and start your playthrough on the other side. This is your chance to mop-up any kill-related trophies you missed, as well as earn the Clean Sweep Of Pandora trophy after completing another 100% of the Sector Challenges.
