Koei Tecmo just announced that their first of three planned DLC packs for Nioh, titled Dragon of the North, will be available on May 2.
The Nioh DLC Dragon of the North will include a new region with original stages, new Yokai to battle, and a new weapon called the odachi, as well as new armor, magic, ninja skills, and new Guardian Spirits to equip. Also, a free PVP will be released simultaneiously with the DLC.
Naoki Tamura, Localisation Producer for Team Ninja, had this to say about the Nioh DLC:
“Dragon of the North follows on from William’s valiant struggle in the main game. Rumours have emerged from the Oshu region that its ambitious ruler, Masume Date (the “one-eyed dragon”) is secretly gathering spirit stones. With the Yokai flourishing in Oshu, turmoil and unrest is inevitable…”
Available on May 2, Dragon of the North will be priced at US$9.99 / €9.99 / £7.99, or free for Nioh season pass holders.
The next two DLC packs are listed as Defiant Honor and Bloodshed’s End.
While it’s still too early to know whether or not the Nioh DLC Dragon of the North or the PVP will be including any additonal Trophies, we will update this article if/when a list becomes available.
